For many years we have travelled the world looking for perfect trails and powder lines. We discovered amazing places and found some incredible runs.

Finding suitable gear, however, was never easy – the market just didn´t offer the packs and bags we had in mind.

So we started designing and manufacturing gear to meet our needs: high-quality, sophisticated products with sensible features. The idea to establish EVOC was born when more and more other people started asking for our gear. Since then, the standards for all our products have remained unchanged: highest possible quality, ingenious details and smart functions. We keep it simple, functional and reliable. But we also offer some-thing that goes deeper – a passion for what we do. As a result, EVOC products are much more than merely pieces of equipment.

Never before have we had so many novelties: Presenting what must be the most innovative EVOC collectionever for 2014.Soft Protection, Performance and Ventilation are the keywords for the season – and they’ve all been assimila-ted in the various EVOC product lines by way of well-thought through detail solutions. Plus, EVOC’s known high demands in terms of functionality, ergonomics & comfort and quality have remained constant for all products.

We have completely reworked our successful concept of combining functional clothing with (soft) protectors for PROTECTION WEAR with maximum wearing comfort, and extended it substantially for the 2014 season.

Our new PROTECTOR JACKET has been developed for use on downhill runs or in bikeparks, offering complete protection at a low weight. We now also have a protector vest for kids: Based on the proven LITESHIELD PROTECTOR TECHNOLOGY, this vest not only provides additional protection for shoulders and collarbones, but also a really useful feature, namely that it can “grow with the kids” thanks to a clever adjust-ment system.

FR ENDURO BLACKLINE

PERFORMANCE BACKPACKS

The BLACKLINE Edition of the FR ENDURO protector back-pack is our technology leader for a completely novel back system.

Besides the main focus on protection, load transfer and great carrying comfort, emphasis has also been placed on providing the completely newly developed LITESHIELD CARRY SYSTEM AIR with maximum ventilation.

The key challenge here was to combine proximity to the body, which is a prerequisite for back protectors, with the high-est degree of air ventilation. In addition to the large, central

Traveling with my bike and the search for the perfect trail is one of the most fascinating challenges for me. We have countless amazing places perfect for biking on our planet. “Lack of oxygen” is the headline, right from our landing approach in Quito. This city lies at almost 3000 m above sea level and the air is already so thin that only pilots with a special license are capable of landing a jet here. That

before even setting foot into this beautiful country.

Thankfully, our guide takes pity on us, and

in the most relaxed way possible: with a cable car that takes us straight out of the city up to a height of 4100 m onto the slopes of the 4690 m high Pichincha volcano, the local mountain in Quito. Trail-wise, the bike community in Quito did a great job there. Starting directly from the mountain station a perfectly shaped singletrack with hundreds of berms, curves and jumps winds its way back down into the city with more than a thousand metres of altitude loss. As if on fast-forward we’re passing through a huge diversity of landscapes here. If it weren´t for the enthusiastic cheers in Spanish of our

Ecuadorian friends congratulating our bike skills on this challenging descent, we could easily forget we were in South America right now.

Near Ibarra is one of the driest regions in Ec-uador, but has not at such extreme heights

-selves riding through dusty desert landscapes so remote that we really have to keep an eye on our water supply. We saddle up at the side of the road in a small village, then roll on a little mud road onto an unimpressive ridge.

After only a short time the terrain opens up into a vast canyon like you would expect to see on a postcard of an American national park. Right through the middle of it winds a small, dusty footpath that looks like it was purpose-built for mountain biking. And this is exactly how it feels riding it. Constantly nosing slightly downhill, every bank and curve seems to be in exactly the right spot.

We stop every now and then to comment on how amazing the trail is or to have a closer look at the immense landscape, which is get-ting dustier and drier all the time. Suddenly

here on we must stay on the trail and we are absolutely forbidden to leave the track, even for a few centimetres. Now we’re in the land of the cacti. This sounds a bit strange to us but the expression on Jorge‘s face is

Directly in front of our tyres the black, shimmering, vast slope of the volcano drops steeply down into the valley and bottoms out smoothly into lush green plateau. The ragged side moraine still traces the path of the enormous mudslide of the recent eruption only 150 years ago. What brought such dev-astation to this beautiful country shaped a

The demands for the perfect outer material of a backpack can be summed up in four char-acteristics: durable, abrasion resistant, water repellent and very light. This is exactly what our Nylon 210/D Ripstop offers. A double PU-coating of the lightweight nylon base provides

fabric into tiny squares to prevent rips – hence the name Ripstop.

This Nylon has slightly thicker threads which make it the perfect outer material for all back-packs and bags that require a higher degree of abrasion resistance and durability without a lot of extra weight. The ideal material for our photo bags.

Our most durable Nylon for the most exposed areas which are most subjected to stress. Its increased thread gauge (1680 Denier) makes it an extremely abrasion and tear resistant ma-terial that improves durability in highly stressed areas (e.g. corners and edges) drastically.

For our waterproof backpack raincovers and safe pouches we employ this high end polyamide with PU coating.
