Eversley Forest School Eversley have introduced Forest School experiences for children in Year 2 and Year 3. The children were extremely enthusiastic and enjoyed being outside and learning from their natural world. The children participated in foraging for different seeds including acorns, conkers and interestingly knopper galls. The children were fascinated by these knobbly looking acorns and one child suggested making woodland necklaces with them. The children then practised their drilling and threading skills to make a wonderful forest keepsake. Thank you to Mrs Helen Shore for volunteering her time and expertise to support our children on their forest adventure.

Reminder to Y3 and 2TW parents please ensure your child has their 'Forest School kit' in school for lessons. (Mrs Turner)

Well done to the pupils who received

a Thank You Certificate for making Eversley a better place by demonstrating one of our Eversley

Values.

We would like to wish Raafy (5L) and Sam C (2F) a wonderful birthday.

We hope you enjoy your day.

Thank you for donating birthday books to your class.

If you would like to donate a book to your class, please collect a donation

sticker from the school office to stick your name and a message to your class in the book.

At Eversley we will be celebrating Black History throughout this half term and it would be wonderful to have volunteers who would be willing to give some of their experiences with the children. If anyone would be willing to come in and talk about their cultural heritage, this could include talking about food, history, dress, and experience of travelling to Britain. If anyone has an area of expertise e.g. music, art etc. this would also be much appreciated. Please contact Ms Lauder (5L) if you can offer any help. Many thanks

Boys Make Super Start to the Season On Tuesday 19th September, the Eversley boys’ football team played their first league game of the season against De Bohun at Southgate School. After taking kick-off, the boys soon made a number of menacing attacks and eventually gave themselves the lead thanks to a clinical finish from Christopher. As the first half drew to a close, Mete was able to make several attacks down the wing and a quick-fire brace meant the boys were able to go into the second half with a comfortable 3-0 advantage. In the second half, the boys began to improve their link up play in midfield and Christopher soon got his second of the afternoon with a fine finish as Eversley increased their lead. With the final whistle edging nearer, the boys wrapped things up in style as Rishon managed to get his first goal of the season after good work in the opposition box which gave Eversley a resounding 5-0 win. The boys all deserve credit for an all-round excellent performance and look forward to an exciting season ahead in the coming months.

We are using Twitter to celebrate our news along with providing parents with immediate information such as fixture scores, event dates, residential trips and also other non-sporting information, such as an after school club late cancellation due to weather etc. There is a live feed linked to our website.
