‘The distribution of a film (or movie) is the process through which a movie is made available to watch for an audience. This task may be accomplished in a variety of ways; for example, with a theatrical release, a home entertainment release (in which the movie is made available on DVD-

video or blue ray disc or a TV broadcast’

Personally I believe a director such as Noel Clarke would be a suitable director for our project. He’s both young and talented and is well known for directed the movie adulthood which has a gross revenue of £1,203,319 (June 2008) Clarke also won a BAFTA rising star award in 2009. As well as this he didn’t only direct adulthood but also acted in it it too.

After researching institution I came across Cannon group inc. which produces low-medium budget films. It was founded in October 23 1967. The Canon Group are a medium to low budget production which would be absolutely perfect for us as we aim to release a low budget movie. The extensive group also owned, amongst others, a large international cinema chain and a video film company that invested heavily in the video market, buying the international video rights to several classic film libraries.

Marketing campaign• We would release our movie in the autumn/ winter because of the fact that during these

times the weather is cold and there isn’t much to do outside therefore its when the cinema gets most its visitors. This would benefit us greatly and we would get a higher gross revenue.

• We would also have many posters out and about to advertise our movie.

• Trailers would develop over a period of time giving sneak peaks to people luring more people in.

• Whilst on social networking sites pop ups with our movie name would appear we would want this pop up to look quite exciting because we really want to catch the audiences eye.

• We would release our film in Odeon cinemas because it’s the most popular cinema in England and therefore we would stand a wider chance to making more at the box office.
