Hyundai launches luxury SUV Santa Fe
Hyundai Motor India has launched its luxury SUV Santa Fe, priced between Rs 20.95
lakh- Rs 22.95 lakh.
The company aims at selling 600 to 800 units a
year. However, the company aims to sell 100 to 150 units in
2010.
It will carry a price tag of Rs 12 crore.
The launch of Bugatti, expected on October 28, comes on the back of the success luxury brands such as Rolls Royce and Maybach in the country.
Philips launches new range of televisions
Philips, a pioneer in television technology
launched its new range of LCDs, LEDs and ultra
slim TVs.
Philips unveiled 15 models of LEDs, eight
models of LCDs and five models of ultra slim
TVs.
The price range of LED TVs would start from Rs 26,500 while the LCDs are priced at Rs 16,499. The price range of ultra slim TVs starts from Rs
5,290.
These companies have scaled down their Orissa plans while scouting for alternative
sites to house their mega projects, as big as 10-12 million tonnes in capacity and with
investments of more than Rs 1,00,000 crore.
Toyota ropes in Rahman to endorse Etios in India
World's largest carmaker Toyota has appointed
music maestro AR Rahman as its
brand ambassador for its India specific
car Etios that would hit the
market in December.
Etios, that would come in both
hatchback and the bigger sedan
version, has been specifically
developed for the Indian market and
the company is investing 3,200
crore at its second plant in Bangalore for the new car.
Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals and British Medical Journal Group , media
arm of British Medical Association announced a tie-up involving mobile health applications for patients and continuous medical education for doctors and other professionals.
30 lakh cellphones disconnected
As the Centre pitched for thorough and quick subscriber verification exercise for security reason, the telecom operators assured the government of their cooperation in getting details of customers.
So far, nearly 30 lakh cellphone subscribers have been disconnected from their respective networks across the country due to either
incomplete or unverified customer details.
