Students will get to meet their Sunday School teachers along with the Blessings of the Backpacks during both 10:30 am services that same day. Please consider volunteering for a two hour block of me. - If you have any quesons concerning these or other Salvaon Army Programs please call Gordon Schroeder at 830-743-0714 Do you remember the first me you got your driver’s license and drove the car by yourself? Pure joy and exhilaraon! So, perhaps you can relate to the opposite feeling of helplessness and panic when you no longer can drive yourself to where you need to go because of homelessness. Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels provides a safe place for families caught in a situaon where they no longer have a car or a home at this parcular me in their life. Oſtenmes (not always), families come into the program without a car and need transportaon to a job interview, doctor’s appointment, bank, housing authority or other places at certain mes. That is where the volunteers who have indicated to the staff at Family Promise, can help out. For me, these have been the best mes to get to know the mom or dad as you ride along to the place they need to go. Usually those places are here in town, and the trip typically takes less than an hour. Family Promise needs addional drivers from me to me. Please consider if this is something you could do. I suspect you will be blessed with new friendships and a chance to serve God. If you are rered or semi-rered, it is a blessing to help out in such a tangible way. Please see an usher for assistance. I celebrated and was honored for 25 years to be working at SJRC! I feel this is where God sll wants me to be! We have two motheres expecng their babies in the fall! Such a Blessing! There is a new Chil - dren’s Playground being built. Sll looking for donors to help complete funding of the area. Also, for volunteers who would be interested to volunteer their me for the playground. Thank you, God Bless!
