SAA is a major acute phase protein produced by the liver that rapidly and dramatically increases in response to inflammation caused by infection. Ovucheck PREMATE is a semi-quantitative test for the measurement of progesterone in a drop of plasma or serum. The quantity of progesterone present is indicated by a change in color, which is compared with progesterone standards (low, intermediate and high). This kit is quick and simple to use.

Ambulatory Diagnostics The typical ambulatory call for a sick patient involves obtaining the patient history and performing a physical examination. Without quantitative results, the diagnosis and/or prognosis is a best guess estimate.
