EPI’s Environmental Services group work with our clients throughout their project life cycle providing expert industry services, advice and guidance. To date most of EPI’s projects have been concentrated in the energy sector, including renewable and oil and gas activities.
EPI’s priority is to analyze the environmental risks to a project and reduce the environmental impacts associated with those risks. In focusing on these risks and impacts, EPI o!ers a fully integrated approach, engaging in baseline surveys, acoustic monitoring and modelling, environmental and social impact assessments, and mitigation and monitoring services.
EPI are experts in the field of:
•! Environmental Impact Assessments, which are a formal processing utilizing desktop studies to describe the biological, economic, and social environment where a project is to occur. It is then used to determine what impacts a project could have and to develop mitigation measures to reduce those impacts.
•! Environmental Management Plans document the details utilized during mobilization, project operations, and demobilization to minimize negative e!ects to the environment. This document will outline environmental procedures, roles and responsibilities, and mitigation and monitoring measures.
•! Mitigation and monitoring personnel to implement necessary mitigation as required by the client, permit, and/or regulatory guidelines including any mitigation technologies that are needed.
•! Over 150 projects in over 41 countries providing mitigation and monitoring services.

•! Managed the Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting process for a company investigating a project in Gabon.
•! Developed clients EIA and EMP for a seismic survey o!shore Equatorial Guinea.
•! Leading provider of sound source verification tests in Atlantic, having performed a majority of the SSVs in the area. All SSVs have been accepted by the regulators within 24 hours of completion.
•! Updating clients Environmental Management System to ensure it met ISO 14001 requirements, international requirements and guidelines, as well as best industry practices.
•! Advised a leading industry association on environmental regulations in North, Central, and South America, the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific regarding requirements and guidelines for mitigation and monitoring for geophysical surveys.
•! Provided a major oil and gas company on MMO and PAM awareness training. This course detailed the main job roles of those positions, the basics of a PAM system, and typical mitigation requirements worldwide for protected species.
