We are a core group of 8 professionals led by father and son combination of Kym and Nicholas MacCormac. Kym has 35 years of experience in the work of an Architect and Nicholas has 13 years. We undertake a limited number of projects each year and offer a personal service with only minimal delegation during the progress of each project. Kym has also advised MRWA on aesthetics and prepared their standard guidelines for Tenders on public structures including road bridges, tunnels and walkways. MacCormac Architects are fortunate to have the wise counsel of Consultant Architect James Taylor who has extensive experience in the industry spanning 45 years. He was President of the WA Chapter of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects as well as the National President. He was a senior member of the Government Building and Construction department for many years and has an extensive knowledge of government operations.

2. RECENT PROJECTS Projects undertaken since 2000 1. EQUUS Mixed Use Development 29 Level Apartment, Office and Retail building with 136 Apartments, 8,000m² office, 2,000m² Retail and parking for 250 cars in 6 elevated levels and one basement. Construction cost $85 million. Project is currently under construction with 24 months of a 30 month contract run.

3. 40 – 50 St Georges Terrace, Office Refurbishment New cladding to two 12 storey office buildings at 40 and 50 St Georges Terrace and new canopies and new entrances 40, 44 and 50 St Georges Terrace. New Retail arcade at St Georges Terrace level of 50 St Georges Terrace. Construction Cost $27 million. Project has been submitted for a Building License and will be tendered in February 2009.

4. Grosvenor Square, 339 Hay Street, Perth 13 Level Office building of 12,500m² constructed adjacent to two storey heritage hotel with parking in 2 basements for 80 cars accessed from Hill Street. Low rise office component facing Hay Street with ground floor cafe and 3 storey section to acknowledge low rise nature of the hotel DA Obtained 9 December 2008.

St Martins, 325 Hay Street ST MARTINS OFFICE AND RETAIL 625 HAY STREET PERTH WA 6000 COMPLETED: October 2004 COST: $9.2M BUILDER: Broad Construction Services VITAL STATISTICS: 2,500m² Offices 1,250m² Retail DESCRIPTION: Construction of a new Office space over 3 levels and 2 levels of Retail to replace defunct Cinema strategically located opposite David Jones Department Store in Hay Street Mall. Designed to respond to David Jones project undertaken by MacCormac Architects as Principal Architects. Connection to existing 33 storey office Tower at two upper levels created large floor plates at those levels which correspond with the lower two floors of St Martins Tower. Major tenant Borders Books occupies the two retail floors at Hay Street and St Georges Terrace levels

David Jones COST: $25.0M (shell) BUILDER: Consolidated Constructions VITAL STATISTICS: Construction of 22,000m² of Retail Space DESCRIPTION: Conversion of existing 4 level Aherns store and addition of new 4 level Department Store for David Jones located in a strategic position between Hay Street and Murray Street Malls. Large central atrium escalator banks. Incorporation of existing frontage façade of Alexander Buildings in Murray St Mall and the upgrading of the 1913 Savoy Hotel were included as part of the overall project

The 4 Apartments are single floor apartments of 165m² in 3 Bed Configurations. Each office occupies a single floor and is approximately 1,105m² in average. Construction Cost Estimated $7 million. Project has DA and is currently being priced before submitting for Building License.

B.Arch (Hons) Curtin University of Technology, Perth WA Associate Director of MacCormac Architects Qualifications Nicholas MacCormac received a Bachelor of Architecture from Curtin University in 1998 where he graduated with honours. He has been a registered Architect since 2005. Nicholas was the winner of the 1997 Architectural drawing prize for student awarded by the RAIA.
