COMPANY PROFILE

Fenisi is a privately owned manufacturing company that specialises in the fabrication of modular bathrooms to supply to the construction industry.

We are a collective of architects, builders and product engineers, with the ability to supply pods throughout Australia. Our head office is located in Sydney, New South Wales and we manufacture prefabricated building systems and bathroom pods from our factory in Sydney.

The factory utilises advanced automation machinery and efficient assembly line techniques that enable the bathrooms to be produced to the highest standard at a competitive price point, when compared to both its domestic and international competitors.


OUR PEOPLE

Fenisi employs a wide range of management-level specialists, all of whom are highly skilled in relation to in house fabrication capabilities. We also have a high standard of entry for the subcontractors who carry out the specialised work such as electrical, plumbing, waterproofing and tiling. The subcontractors that we use are experienced pod contractors and have undertaken multiple projects for Fenisi.

As a company, we continue to develop our workforce of the future by investing in training and development for our people. Many initiatives have been developed to improve the manufacturing process and incorporate them within the factory floor. The culture of self improvement and strong development of new ideas are encouraged and rewarded.

OUR CAPABILITIESFenisi design, manufacture, test, commission and install bathroom pods for projects all over Australia. As a company, Fenisi has proven itself in the delivery of pods to accommodate a range of projects. We have worked closely with construction developers and builders on student housing, apartments and aged care projects in both supplying and installing bathroom pods on site.

Fenisi has developed systems that can assist the builder to ensure the correct setout of rebate depths and accurate penetration positions that are essential for accurate pod positioning on site. Fenisi has design solutions in developing zero step transitions at the door threshold.

Our team has a range of installation experience ranging across multiple projects. We therefore are pleased to provide the benefits of this experience to other builders and clients to ensure a successful project.

WHAT WE DO


QUALITY ASSURANCE

Fenisi has gained Level 1 watermark accreditation for bathroom pods, which is an Australian wide certification and registered on the Australian Watermark registry. This provides assurance to contractors and builders, relieving any acceptance issues for interfacing trades.

Fenisi has also developed our own Enterprise Resource Planning system that incorporates Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s) for every task that is carried out in the factory and on site. This web based system can be viewed by clients for real time information on progress and performance checks on any part of the project.

R Water and drainage services are inspected and tested to comply with AS 3500, the plumbing code of Australia and in accordance with the local authority and certifier requirements.

R Electrical installations are completed to AS3000 with test certificates provided for each pod to satisfy local authority requirements and the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA).

R Waterproofing installations are done in accordance with AS 3740.

R All other building elements are in accordance with the BCA and are provided in final documentation.

Starting with our Design and Engineering team, the architectural plans are to interface with the existing services and construction methodology to ensure complete transparency between the bathroom pod and on site coordination. This carries through to virtual prototyping. Prior to the actual prototype being constructed, a bill of materials (BOM) is developed. Once approved, the relevant parts of the model are separated into drawings and issued to their respective fabrication division. The assembly line is sequenced and manufactured in a quality controlled environment specific to each project. Our staff have full qualifications in all areas of bathroom construction including engineering, building, plumbing, waterproofing and electrical to assist with the entire design process. During the design phase, coordinated workshop meetings with the architect and design team allows for an accurate integration of information and fixtures in order to achieve the desired outcome, thereby minimising the need for change.

OUR PROCESS

1 DESIGN

The foundation of the pod is consistently sturdy and maintains a high quality finish.


The bathroom structure is supported by a Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) base with built-in walls that have been moulded in a cast to produce a very secure floor foundation for the pod. The bathroom framing which connects to the GFRC base utilizes Australian galvanised steel sections. The framing is prefabricated to custom made jigs to ensure a dimensionally accurate structure. The whole structure is designed, engineered and manufactured to strict guidelines. Overall this allows the foundation of the pod to be consistently sturdy and maintain a high quality finish. This robust structure means that the bathrooms can easily be transported, lifted and shuttled into their final position on site without any damage.

OUR PROCESS

Once the bathroom pods have been delivered to the dedicated site, they can either be installed by the builder or by Fenisi. Either way, Fenisi will provide the lifting cradle and shuttle trolleys, which allow the pods to be installed in the most efficient way. Fenisi has expert experience in the design and installation of pods, providing a zero step floor finish. If required, Fenisi can also provide a minimum step for bathrooms sitting on the slab with no rebate. Our site supervisor can provide training for third party installers and also give advice to the builder on the preparations required for a smooth, efficient, and minimum risk installation experience.
