Roles and Responsibilities: Ideate, plan and supervise editorial content, and manage cost and timelines for the assigned magazine. Should generate ideas, select and/or write articles, and conduct background research. Responsible for supervising layout, appearance and content, as well as proofreading (grammar, language) for feature articles and the magazine. Organize meetings with writers and designers to discuss and plan the features section of the magazine. Commissions features and stories to in-house writers or freelancers. Supervises staff, including freelance writers, and sets deadlines. Interviews public figures relevant to theme of publication. Recruit new talent fit for the magazine. Ensures that all feature articles comply with ethical codes of practice and legal guidelines.
