Technology:

The technology in the show starts off being just a machine that has the ability to wipe a human’s memory, imprint them, and restructure their body tissues reaction to certain brain impulses. The only way for the actives to get their treatments is to go back to the Dollhouse and from then on either gets imprinted or gets a re-wipe. “This was an average routine for all dolls, their handler and the machine’s programmer” (Topher Brink), to the point that it wasn’t even noticed as a major problem. This was until a previous psychiatric doll (Alpha) in-vented the ability to wipe a person’s memories through any phone, and from here this is where the problems geared from being just echo to the technology be-cause from there the Rossum company wanted to take this technology and make it so that you can wipe and imprint. With this new piece of technology the handler won’t have to take the active to the Dollhouse, then to its next engagement but right away imprint the active and move on to the next engagement. Unfortunately, once Adele gave them this technology they ended up abusing it and started using it on random human beings which later on sent the world into an apocalypse.

enviRonmenT:

At the beginning, the environment in the Tv show Dollhouse seems very utopian. The colors of the surroundings are different warm shades of brown and cream with a diverse amount of plant life giving it the cozy spa feel and environment making it feel very welcoming. As they exit the Dollhouse and show the outside world, they make it seem very grey & dark in colors and very stressful. As the Tv show progresses per episode, we slowly start to see the Rossum company unfold and we are unleashed to see the insides of the Rossum company and the other Dollhouse environments, which unlike this Dollhouse have a jail like environment which is practically grey, black and cold.

inTRoDUcTion:

The Tv show Dollhouse is about a doll named echo, a woman that is one of the other actives (average human beings with wiped memories) that can be imprinted with different personalities, memories, talents, abilities, and so much more including even muscle memory for different engagements. The imprints can basically make them become whoever, whenever, wherever it maybe. When wiped and back at the Dollhouse, echo and the other actives are living stress free lives, and oblivious children in a comfortable spa like underground secret environment dubbed the Dollhouse, with no recollection of what they did, who they were, when they have left the house, or anything else for that matter of a fact. The Dollhouse is run by an organization named the Rossum company that basically researches and invents different ways to aid and make the human race better and rather than conducting their tests on volunteers or criminals they choose to test them on those with no ability to voice themselves such as animals, human babies, humans with disabilities. The show is mainly founded around echo’s up rise of knowledge, and the ability for her to train her brain to remember what, who, & where, she was before she was wiped, as well as how this slowly starts to tear the Dollhouse. on top of this are in-house troubles at the Dollhouse, from handlers (every dolls body distinct body guard) to the terror-ism engaged by Alpha, a previous doll who killed/ injured almost everyone in the Dollhouse except for echo. Also making matters worse is Paul Ballard an ex-FBi agent who is continuously with great fortitude, finding every possible way to expose and obliterate the Dollhouse.
