3Energy

Our energy professionals strive to ensure we will have renewable energy solutions for the future. Our 90 years of history in efficiency and sustainable design, transmission and distribution projects, and thermal power generation means that we will be able to sustain our communities for tomorrow.

Leveraging leading-edge technologies, we are a global leader in providing integrated planning and engineering solutions to today’s energy challenges. We help our clients reduce energy consumption, develop renewable sources, improve grid reliability and cut emissions from fuels already in use.

Talented AECOM professionals around the world work with clients to meet their project demands. We are committed to addressing the complete spectrum of energy challenges.

Our projects range from energy efficiency work that saves megawatts of power at California State University campuses and transmission line upgrades in Australia, to wind farm design and construction and the design of a hydroelectric power project in central Laos that supplies power to Thailand. Whether we’re designing a system to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions at coal-fired plants in

Canada, creating a detailed handbook to help London’s developers implement sustainable energy policies, installing a 200-kilowatt fuel cell at a Texas medical clinic, or developing a turbine-generator unit at a geothermal field in West Java, AECOM strives to meet today’s global energy challenges.

Other key projects in our extensive portfolio include upgrading a wastewater treatment plant cogeneration unit in New Zealand, supplying carbon-management consulting for the City of New York, and providing a comprehensive assessment of the economic impacts of climate change in Australia. In addition, we were key leaders of the first major bulb turbine project in North America (in Eastmain, Quebec), the Kef Eddir dam in Algeria and the sustainable development strategy for Harlow North in the United Kingdom. Simply stated, our projects make the world a better place.

Integrated energy services within AECOM bring together specialist technologists, planners and project managers to provide the right solutions to our clients. Our talented experts are adept at delivering detailed studies, planning and environmental permitting, engineering/design, procurement, and project and construction management services.

Our mission is to help our clients develop efficient energy solutions to reduce energy consumption, develop renewable and clean generation and improve energy and transmission reliability.
