From the Software Procurement Office email, follow the Download link. Then login with the

username and password supplied. Do not change the domain.

Click on the appropriate Installer link. Ensure it is EndNote X7 or higher.

Select Save File.

Find the file on your machine. This is usually the Downloads folder. Double-click to open the file.

In the EndNote Installer window, drag the EndNote folder onto the Applications folder.

Wait for all the files to be copied.

In the Applications folder, open the EndNote folder, and double-click on the EndNote X7 file.

In the warning window, select Open.

In the Welcome window, click Next.

You must close any Office applications before continuing.

If you’d like, read the Read Me Information. Then click Next.

When you see the Thank You screen, press Done.

That was the installation of EndNote X7, but we are currently past X7.5, so you will need to do

updates. In the next window, press Download and Install.

Note that installing these updates can take up to an hour.

When updates are installed, press Next in the Welcome window.

If you’d like, read the Read Me information. Then press Next.

Wait while the updater finds your copy of EndNote. Then press Yes.

When the updates are complete, press Done.

Check the add-in is working in Word In Word 2011, check the Tools menu to find the EndNote X7 sub-menu.

In Word 2016, check there is an EndNote X7 tab on the ribbon.
