Problem: The purpose of every shop-window is to lure people passing by into the shop. However, shops are able to put only a few pieces of clothing into their windows, which significantlydecreases the chances of luring people in successfully.

Solution: Replacing static, old-fashioned mannequins with an intelligent avatar which analyzes people passing by. Using this data (gender, age and clothes) the avatar tries to attract people’s attention and lure them into the shop. The avatar’s artificial intelligence is constantly improving its behavior.

• Many of the shops are still using static, unattractive mannequins in their windows. We
provide a solution to replace these mannequins in an unobtrusive and sympathetic way
with almost no maintenance costs.
• Similar solutions with avatars were implemented in the past, but those were used only for a
given campaign. (e.g. for Erste Bank https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67XDyQ7LLjc by
Connecting Bridges Company and Sony DADC in the campaign called “Bank of the Future”).
• Emomime is not only an avatar, but also a cloud service. Shopkeepers can customize their
avatars based on their preferences and analyze their effectiveness based on the information
about the people approached by the avatar gathered by the system. The avatar can have a
detailed profile of one or more typical visitors of the shop based on demographic,
psychographic, geographic or other sources of information characterizing human behavior.
• Avatars able to identify emotions, gender or age and to adapt according to these factors
do not exist. Emomime is able to recognize all these and other factors and chooses its
behavior based on the type of the person it is interacting with. It converts a shop display
into a digital experience that makes a passer-by happy to come inside the shop.
• The whole technology works as a plug-and-play system. We recommend customer - retailer -
the hardware to obtain (PC, Kinect, display – up to 2,000 €). The other investments cover
the software - cloud service. This solution ensures flexible scalability with global potential.

o Evaluating the prototype attractivity to people
passing by and its ability to attract them into
the shop (using a simple questionaire).
o Troubleshooting and avatar behavior evaluation
based on said questionaire (or any other
feedback).
o User Interface testing - Is our customer (shop
owner) able to customise the appearance and
behavior of avatar using the cloud-based web
interface?
o Setting the system in other shop-windows and
testing the user customisation.
o Evaluating the avatar’s contribution to the
shop.
