Energy transition

world energy demand:• make better use of existing

hydrocarbon ressources• discover new reserves• diversify energy sources

Climate change, mainly due to greenhouse gas emissions, calls for solutions that develop:• energy efficiency• renewable energies• technologies for CO2 capture and

storage

3

Preparing today the changes of tomorrow Improved exploitation of existing reserves

( recovery rates) and renewal of currentreserves

Exploitation of non-conventionalressources such as extra-heavy oil(mainly in Venezuela and Canada), deepproduction and ultra-deep offshore production

Maximized use of hydrocarbonsproduced, with clean and optimizedrefining processes

4

Preparing today the changes of tomorrow Development of alternative fuels from

natural gas, biomass, coal, and hydrogen production

vehicule fuel consumption and therefore emissions, and developmentof new powertrains that use alternative fuels

Reduction of greenhouse gases resulting from the use of fossilfuels, in particular through gas capture at industrial facilities and geological storage

Finding a sponsor

Look for a company that pays living expenses duringstudies and contributes to tuition fees

The scholarship (€1,100 to €1,400 per month) is sufficient to cover living expenses (housing, food, health insurance, electricity, telephone/internet, etc.)

Applications for admission to IFP School and for fundingmust be made at the same time

Assistance provided by IFP School to find a sponsor: providing contacts, sending CVs to companies
