Grading and Reporting
Ellis Middle School recognizes that grading, homework, make-up opportunities, report cards, and reporting practices in general should be consistent, accurate, fair, meaningful, research-based, and connected to state and national standards.
Students will receive a knowledge grade and a Life Skills grade.
Knowledge Grade
Weighting Assessments = 90% of grade Practice = 10% of grade
Students can re-take or modify assessments by completing the Retake Contract
Scores earned below 50% are adjusted up to 50% Students must complete any missing assessments
within 10 days of the end of the quarter Student failing a course or 7 or more total quarters
will be required to attend Summer School
