    Public Official rules (behavior and discipline) 1993

    Peraturan-Peraturan Pegawai Awam (kelakuan dan tatatertib)

    Education Act 1996-

    Akta Pendidikan 1996

    It is enforced on 20 Jun 2002 (after amendation)

    It is to protect the image of the government in particular and the

    Public Service in general.

    Disciplinary action will be taken to punish any officials who

    violate the law. (increase the awareness regarding their

    behaviour)

    The rules are enforced to ensure that the officials carry out the

    duty efficiently, honestly and responsibly.

    To ensure that the officials prioritise the public needs.

    These rules will ensure that the officials who do wrong get

    punishment.

    Rule 3A

    Civil servants are to obey the rules

    Rule 3B

    An officer is required to take an oath as provided in in the

    Regulations of the Public Officers (PU.A.176) Appointment,

    Promotion and Termination of Service.

    Rule 3C

    It is the renewed and extended version of th Education Act 1961

    Aims to strengthen the national education system in line with the

    needs and aspirations of Malaysia (a center of excellence for high

    quality education and world class).

    Content

    Section 163 categories of schools

    Government, bantuan kerajaan and private.

    Section 17(2)National language to be made as a compulsory

    subject in all schools.

    Section 18all schools should refer to national curriculum

    Section 19all school must prepared the student for exam

    Section 50Islamic education must be taught in all schools

    including private schools (5 or more Muslim students)

    Objectives

    To introduce the law regarding the education

    To strengthen the national educational system for young generation

    (countrys aspiration-high quality of education).

    To ensure that the national language stays as the main language.

    The superiors are responsible in monitoring the subordinates and

    take actions on those who violate any rules.

    Rule 4(1)

    An officer shoul loyal to the country and the government.

    Needs to defend national honor (dignity)

    Eg: conspire with enemy

    Leak the national secret

    Rule 7

    The service of an officer will be terminated if he involve in the

    abusement of drugs.

    Rule 12

    Borrowing money is disallowed

    Rule 6

    An officer is not allowed to wear singlet or t-shirts with no collars

    and short pants.

    To standardize all school curriculum through the national curriculum.

    Islamic education is expanded to Muslim students.
