schedule of nursery care during worship services will resume

M & M [Mission & Ministry] “Quarterly Quotas” Update

AFRICA HOPE CENTER On June 12th, Lance Moyer gave an inspirational, challenging message on accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and living a life of service. Supporting the Africa HOPE Center, an orphanage which houses children of all ages who have lost their parents due to AIDS, and is our current M&M project, is one way we can serve. If you wish, you may also visit their website – africahopecenter.org – or find them on Face book – search for Africa HOPE Center. We received a Joyful Noise offering for this project on June 12th and gathered $465.61 in support of the orphanage!

There are still M&M tubes available for this project, so….. take a tube of M&M mini’s on your way out of church….enjoy the M&M’s, fill the empty tube with quarters [or bills] and return it to church by the end of the quarter!

Tubes are located on the table across from the elevator & on the mantle by the front door in the narthex. Once filled, please return the tubes to the “Quarterly Quotas” return box located on the table below the bulletin and flower sponsor sign-up sheets, drop them in the offering plate or give them to Josh Serfass or Janice Metzger. For this project, please return your filled tube(s) by Sunday, July 3rd. Thanks for your support!!!

We will not have an active project over the summer but will start up again in September or

October.

There will be no regular monthly meetings of the Women of the Church during July and August. If anything comes up that requires discussion, special

meetings will be called, probably after church.

Homecoming -ANNUAL QUILT RAFFLE!

The quilt raffle ticket is being printed. Tickets will be available by the end of July or in early August. We have many prizes this year! Thanks to the quilters for

the quilt which makes this whole thing possible every year. Thank you to everyone who sponsored prizes or helped to solicit prizes printing the tickets. This has been very successful fundraiser for the church.

PENNY PARTY REPORT The Women of the Church are pleased to report that the annual Penny Party was a great success due to the help and donations of many! The event raise over

$1300.00 for the church and a great time was had by all. Thanks to all that helped to make this a great success! See you next year!

Muhlenberg Theatre

Women of the Church are sponsoring a trip to Muhlenberg Theatre to see “In The Heights”, an award winning musical on July20, 2016 at 8 PM. It is the story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures.
