Your purchase of any EarthMoments bundles of music/vocal samples (Herein: "EarthMoments samples") consti-tutes an agreement between you and EarthMoments Music Limited to the following terms and conditions:

1. EarthMoments Music Limited is the owner of all intellectual property and other rights in and to the Earth-Moments samples. EarthMoments Music Limited is also the owner of all intellectual property and other rights in and to any other content that may be included in any EarthMoments bundles such as completed track examples, graphics, visuals, text, etc. (Herein: "other EarthMoments content").

2. Please be aware that this EarthMoments Samples User License Agreement covers your use of the EarthMo-ments samples only as per clause 3 below and you are not granted herein any use rights in other EarthMo-ments content. For use of other EarthMoments content please refer to clause 4 below.

3. The EarthMoments samples are licensed to you by EarthMoments Music Limited for you to use in your audio and/or audio-visual productions subject to the following terms.

a. The rights granted to you are non-transferable to any entity. b. The rights granted to you are non-exclusive. c. You may modify the purchased samples to suit your needs but the terms of this agreement apply to

any modifications you may make. d. The EarthMoments samples may not be used in isolation. e. The EarthMoments samples may not be used in an audio and/or audio-visual production which

contains pornographic, obscene, fraudulent, libelous, infringing or illegal material. f. If you so desire you may grant EarthMoments an appropriate credit (such as "Tabla sample in track

g. EarthMoments Music Limited will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused to you and you will refrain from making any such claims against EarthMoments Music Limited or any entity on its behalf.

h. EarthMoments Music Limited reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse service and/or to termi-nate services to you at any time.

i. EarthMoments Music Limited reserves its right to amend these terms at any time. j. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, the courts of which in London

This huge sample pack has been created and maximized to the highest standards, exclusively delivered by top In-dian strings and woodwinds musicians in the Indian music scene today, and can be used to create a va-riety of styles with Indian strings and woodwinds signatures.

The Indian Emotions collection contains:

Ektara - 14 samples A rhythmic accompaniment to folk songs, the body is made of skin stretched over a hollow gourd or wood. The string attaches to the skinhead, the other end fastened to a split bamboo neck. Plucking the string and pressing the halves of the neck changes the pitch.

Dotara - 38 samples Used in East Indian folk music, the small stringed instrument has a steel or brass fingerboard without frets and a sound box covered by stretched lizard skin or goat skin, with two or four strings.

Esraj - 12 samples Similar to the Dilruba except for the number of sympathetic strings. The main strings are bowed. Fingers of the left hand are used to lightly hold the strings above the frets to create different notes.

Dilruba - 37 samples A bowed instrument with a neck and frets from North West India. The main strings are bowed, and the sympathetic strings are not played but resonate to contribute to the overall sound.

Santoor - 65 samples A hammered dulcimer that is struck with light wooden mallets. The number of strings is usually 80, but may range from 24 to over 100.

Sarangi - 42 samples A bowed string instrument without frets or fingerboards, it has three to four main playing strings and a number of sympathetic strings. Notes are played by sliding the fingernail against the string.

Sarod - 37 samples Sarod is a 25-stringed lute-like instrument, the body is hand carved from a single block of wood, with a steel fretless finger-board and is played with a plectrum. 4 of the 25 strings are melody or playing strings, 3 are rhythm strings, and the rest are sympathetic strings.

Sitar - 61 samples Between 7-20 strings, there are 7 main playing strings, which are stretched over a hollow teak wood neck, on to which carved nickel-silver frets are tied. The instrument is carved out of wood and is played with a wire pick worn on the forefinger.

Slide Guitar - 40 samples Modified for use in Hindustani music, the instrument is fitted with sympathetic strings, and placed flat on the lap while playing. A metal slide is used to hold down the notes while the strings are plucked with metallic picks worn on the thumb and forefinger.

Veena - 34 samples An ancient South Indian Classical stringed instrument, it is usually made of jack wood, 24 frets made of brass bars fixed with wax, and a resonator at top of the neck. It has only four playing strings and three drone strings.

Vichitra Veena - 35 samples Similar to Veena except that it doesn’t have frets. The notes are played with a slide. The instrument better matches Carnatic music vocals.

Violin - 37 samples Traditionally played in a seated posture, with the back of the violin resting on the left shoulder and collar bone or chest. An important solo instrument in South Indian Carnatic music, also accompanies vocal per-formance.

Bansuri flute - 40 samples A side-blown bamboo flute with six or seven open finger holes, varying from 12 inches to 40 inches in length. Used in North Indian folk music and Classical Hindustani music. South Indian Carnatic music.

Flute - 22 samples Made of bamboo, it has a blowing hole and eight finger holes. It has a soothing timbre and is used in South Indian Carnatic music.

Harmonium - 17 samples A free-standing keyboard instrument similar to a reed organ. Sound is produced by air supplied by han-doperated bellows being blown through sets of free reeds, resulting in a sound similar to that of an ac-cordion. Used in folk music and Hindustani Classical vocals.

The Distant Rhythms - India collection contains:

Bass Dholak - 38 samples Bass Dholak is a large wooden barrel shaped drum associated with the folk music of Punjab. The drum is hung around the neck and the bass and treble heads on either side are struck using sticks.

Ghatam - 38 samples A large clay pot used in South Indian Carnatic music. When struck, the sound is of the outside ringing of the pot, and a low resonance inside the cavity. The pitch of can be raised or lowered by opening or clos-ing the mouth of the pot against the stomach.

Kanjira - 41 samples Like a small tambourine, Kanjira is used in South Indian Classical music. The instrument is about seven inches in diameter, made of lizard skin stretched over one side of a circular wooden frame, which has a few metal jingles mounted in a single slit.

Tabla - 58 samples A rhythm accompaniment for North Indian Hindustani Classical music, the pair of drums is played with fingers and wrists of both hands to create a wide range of different pitches and tones.

Khol - 49 samples A drum from northeast India used as accompaniment for devotional songs. The barrel of the drum is ter-racotta. The two heads of the drum are dissimilar, one being about 4 inches wide and the other about 10 inches.






Distant Rhythms

Morsing - 104 samples Used in both Carnatic and folk music, India’s version of the Jew’s harp is a circular metal frame with two prongs and a spring tongue between the prongs. Holding the prongs between the teeth and striking the spring tongue, sound variations and overtones are achieved by mouth and breathing techniques.

Mridangam - 52 samples A rhythmic accompaniment in Carnatic music, it is a doubled-sided drum made of jack wood. The treble head of the drum has a permanent application of ferric oxide at its center to give it the characteristic metallic timbre.

Naqqara - 30 samples A pair of kettle drums used traditionally in the Naubat ensemble of North India, The drums are placed on the floor during performance and played with sticks held in both hands. It usually accompanies the Shehnai.

Bhapang - 33 Samples Accompanying vocal performances, this rhythm-creating folk instrument is a hollow shell of dry pumpkin and goatskin. A string is fixed at the center of the skin, which is stretched and relaxed by the fingers to produce sound variations.
