“They have actually done a nice job of combining process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing and lean
manufacturing in one product. Most other products don’t do that.”
“Microsoft has a massive partner ecosystem it can mine for opportunities. SAP less so except those as yet un-named
ISVs that may look at ByDesign as a second string. Oracle has nothing as substantial as either of the other two
players.” Dennis adds, “If it is successful then Microsoft becomes the stealth competitor to SAP, Oracle, Infor and
whatever Epicor/Activant becomes.”
“The product's enhanced flexibility and usability will position it well in deals at the margins of the enterprise category — companies with $500 million to $2 billion in revenues. ..”

As both a developer on the content team and the key Chinese language trainer for this project it was exciting to see the impact this course made on attendees. As an expatriate Chinese living in New Zealand it was a privilege to return and present this course in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
DYNAMICS CRM 2011 TRAINING KIT: Intergen builds core content
EVIDENCE
GOAL OUTCOME With a new version of CRM came a whole host of new approaches and technologies for developers.. Things like Silverlight were elevated to first class status and there were major changes to the underlying service layer.
Intergen and our friends from Colorado Tech Consultants worked with the Dynamics team over 18 months to evolve the final content used today. We trained developers around the world and recorded the content for Microsoft Channel 9.

The problem with building a ‘cool’ demo like Blue Yonder Airlines Racing is that if you’re not technically accurate people will pull it to pieces. Intergen was unique in that we could deliver both technically sound SharePoint and Silverlight content as well as ensuring the motorsport aspects were realistic..
SHAREPOINT AT PDC : Intergen delivers a racy keynote demo
EVIDENCE
GOAL OUTCOME Microsoft needed a fantastic executive keynote demo for SharePoint 2010 that would wow a developer audience. A traditional Contoso or Northwind demo just wouldn’t cut it.
Intergen combined their deep experience in SharePoint 2010 and their own in house Motor Racing team to build a fantastic demo for the PDC day two keynote. The demo combined SharePoint, Azure and Silverlight.

As well as making The Phone Company demo look great we wanted to ensure it gave good architectural guidance. We use queues to buffer requests out of the cloud to the on-premise systems. Without this approach you run the risk of scaling up in the cloud and ‘Slashdotting’ your on premise applications.
CRM 2011 AT PDC : The power of CRM software + Windows Azure services
EVIDENCE
GOAL OUTCOME How do you combine the massive elastic scalability of the cloud with the power and flexibility of the Dynamics CRM platform? How do you make something business functional but still look fantastic?
As proven experts in, Windows Azure, Dynamics CRM and Silverlight Intergen delivered a showcase that not only looked great but setout architectural good practice for Software + Services applications.

We really got to show off the full power of the stack in this demo project. We included MS Tag, Silverlight, Bing, CRM, Office 365, SharePoint. It was a real blast working on this project but now I need to go and have a holiday
CRM2011 AT LAUNCH KEYNOTE : We’re All IN The Cloud
EVIDENCE
GOAL OUTCOME The launch of CRM 2011 needed a demo that was entirely cloud based. It had to look great but also talk to all aspects of the MS cloud stack, from Office 365 to CRM Online to Azure.
A team of Intergenites worked through Christmas 2010-2011 to create the Contoso Property demo. Extensive work on CRM customizations and Silverlight web resoruces made the demo really shine

CRM2011 AT WPC2011 : Showing the next CRM evolution
EVIDENCE
GOAL OUTCOME Microsoft Corporate Vice President for Dynamics, Kirill Tatarinov needed a keynote demo that resonated with partners. It also needed to show some great new features coming in CRM 2011 R7… that hadn’t been built yet…
An Intergen team working across our Auckland, Wellington and Redmond offices worked closely with the dynamics marketing and engineering teams to pull together a great keynote demo.
