The donation repre- sents the third and final installment toward the foundation’s pledge of $250,000. Stuart James Grant Convocation and Athletic Center. Marie Frances Vernon of Danville was awarded the Mary C. Fugate Award for having the highest grade point average in the tra- ditional graduating class. Vernon, who graduated summa cum laude, re- ceived a bachelor of arts degree in English and a minor in Spanish. She was a member of the Honors Program.
