Een staal is positief voor rhEPO indien:Minstens 3 opeenvolgende banden worden onderscheiden, overeenkomend met 1, 2, 3 of 4.De 2 meest intensieve van deze banden moeten opeenvolgend zijn, komen overeen met 1,2 of 3 en zijn 2 maal intensiever dan de meest intensieve band in het endogene gebied.

Een staal is positief voor Aranesp indien:Minstens 3 banden worden onderscheiden die overeenkomen met B,C en D.De meest intensieve banden moeten overeenkomen met C en D.De meest intensieve band, C of D, moet intensiever zijn dan elke band in het endogene gebied.

-Alle C komt finaal uit CO2, maar bij elke intermediaire stap naar T is er depletie van 13C
