Last week Cathy Cherry spoke to us about the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She is its Executive Director. It is the world’s largest volunteer health organization. The organization funds research, patient services, professional education, and government advocacy.
An estimated 712,000 Americans have blood cancers. They are dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, as well as assisting those who are already afflicted. You can learn more at www.LLS.org . They organize many fund raising events all year, maybe you could lend a hand. -Butch Shadwell
