school

This was an extremely lucky escape for

Ashleigh Lane and George Jones. They

quote it was the scariest experience in

their lives. They also reported how the

tables flew across the room and how the

chairs got flung up in the air. George said

“Suddenly a huge hole started to appear

in the ground”. Also Ashleigh said “I was

so frightened my body was shaking”.

This earthquake resulted in many things

being broken and crushed. This has

affected the school severely by ruining it

and destroying all the equipment.

The earthquake was caused by the plates

under the earths surface. This happens

when they clash together, that’s what

makes an earthquake.

The school is trying as hard as they can to

rebuild the building into a safe environ-

ment for them. They are trying to get it

just like before, so it will be a safe place

to learn and work in.
