Introduction to Global Citizen Mini-Conference 2015

Global Citizen Mini-Conference 2015 is an initiative of the Outgoing Exchange Department in AIESEC HKU. Being the first conference for exchange participants in the history, it serves as a platform for exchange participants in the Global Citizen Programme to meet with each other, exchange ideas and gain inspirations. The department hopes that the conference will be a great memory for you all to kick-start the exciting and stimulating journey of exploring yourselves and the unknown!

Conference Highlights

1. “Meet My Manager” Driven by the department’s ambition to strive for excellence and provide the best exchange experience, we would assign an Exchange Participants Manager (EPM) to every Exchange Participant. EPM is either the officer or the manager from Outgoing Exchange Department. Their knowledge of AIESEC global information system as well as the exchange procedures will greatly facilitate your quality exchange experience. Are you excited to meet your EPM in the conference?

2. “Meet My Mentor”To pass on the knowledge of past Exchange Participants and provide a platform for the two generations of Exchange Participants to bond and network, the department has init iated the unprecedented Mentoring Programme for the current Exchange Participants in the Global Citizen Programme. Your first encounter with your mentor will happen in the conference! Are you ready to listen to more exchange stories?

3. Capture the Moment!Global Citizen Mini-Conference, as the start of every Exchange Participant’s exchange journey, would definitely be an event too significant to capture and recall in the future. A beautifully designed photo booth in the conference will enable you to capture all the wonderful moments you have, with other Exchange Participants, Mentors, Facilitators and others!

*During this session, only delegates who have been assigned a mentor will join the “Meet My Mentor” session.

*Delegates who have a mentor will be notified through email and will be informed again during the registration of the conference.

Opening - AIESEC Culture A brief introduction of conference culture and AIESEC jargons

Clarity of Exchange 1.0 A goal-setting and expectation-setting session

Clarity of Exchange 2.0 To facilitate delegates’ thinking of the relevance of exchange to

society

Technical Knowledge Details about the contract, the online platform for projects-

searching and finance matters will be covered.

Refreshment/*Contract Signing/“Meet My Mentor”

A concurrent session for delegates to relax and take pictures in the photo booth

Simulation To allow delegates to gain hands-on experience of getting matched

to projects

Cultural Preparation To develop delegates’ global mindset

Details about Contract-Signing I. Please print out TWO SETS of the contracts for

Global Citizen Programme (soft copy attached in the email) and fill them in.

III. Take a photo of the receipt and upload it to the link below:http://bit.ly/GlobalCitizenPayment

IV. KEEP THE PHYSICAL COPY and hand it in together with the contracts on the day of conference (21 Mar).
