International Anti-Corruption Day

• International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed annually, on 9 December, since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption on 31 October 2003

• The purpose is to raise awareness of corruption and the role of the Convention in combating and preventing it.

• In 1946, The Constituent Assembly of India met for the first time to write the Constitution of India.

• In 1825, Rao Tula Ram, who was one of the key leaders of the Indian rebellion of 1857 in Haryana, was born.
