Centering Prayer Lenten Study, Saturday 3/19, Church of Holy Communion, 9:30-11:00am. Come join us and be enriched about our Christian contemplative heritage, centering prayer and the spiritual journey. This opportunity is for beginners and those who have been practicing for a while. In the film," Invitation From God", we are taking a peek over the shoulder of Danish film maker, Marie Louise and Fr. Thomas Keating as they are engaged in an intimate conversation about the human condition, spiritual journey and centering prayer. Don’t feel it is necessary to attend both classes. Van Purchase Update: The cost of the new church van was nearly $40,000. As you know, we made an appeal from the altar for parish support since this purchase was not in our budget. Thanks to the generosity of our parish family, the cost of the bus has been covered through donations AND in record time. We expect the van to be ready for use the later part of March, and at that time, we can resume Sunday pickup service for parishioners living in Senior Living Facilities, so they can attend mass. The van is used by other groups in the parish. Thanks to Jerry Kutas and Sonya Davis for their help in securing the van and for generosity and support of our parishioners.

Spring is Blooming with the Women of Holy Spirit's March program. Plan on attending a very informative presentation just in time for planting your spring flowers on March 21, 7:00 PM, in the conference room. Our guest speaker, David Fuchs, has been a Master Gardner since 2006 and moved to Memphis from New Orleans several years ago. He will provide expert advice about designing and building flower beds of various sizes, ideas for choosing the appropriate spring flowers for our area, and will be eager to answer any questions you might have. MOTHERS DAY OUT
Registration for our 2016 Summer Session and the 2016-2017 school year is currently under way. MDO accepts children ages 6 months-5 years of age. Our Summer Session will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 14 – July 14, 9:30am until 2:30pm. For the 2016-17 school year, children enrolled in our MDO program may attend 1 or 2 days a week on Mondays & Wednesday from 8:45am-2:45 pm. Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten attend Mondays and Wednesdays 8:45 a.m.-2:45 p.m. We offer art, music, computer, and Bible along with our everyday curriculum. Pre School & Pre-K are excited to continue following the nationally acclaimed Letter People Curriculum. Dr. Scott Elsholz, the director of music at the Catholic Church of the Nativity in Bartlett, will present a concert to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Joining Dr. Elsholz will be the critically-acclaimed coloratura soprano Bethania Baray and the gifted flautist/Irish whistle player Jeanne Elting Simmons. What: Holy Spirit Feeds – Is a Holy Spirit Outreach
Ministry ini�a�ve /food packaging event. Volunteers from
our parish with family and friends, will work side-by-side
to package meal packets for the hungry totaling 20,000
meals. It brings people together to feed the hungry in the
coun�es surrounding Memphis, as well as in countries
around the world. The food is an innova�ve and nutri�ous
blend of rice, beans, soy, dried vegetables and vitamins.
A single bag yields six complete meals. Groups of 10-12
people will work together to fill, weigh, seal, and stack the
bags of food, which are then placed in boxes and shipped
to their des�na�on. This year we will support Southern
Eye Clinic of Serabu, Sierra Leone with the majority of the
food.
Who: All members of Holy Spirit. Please feel free to bring
friends and family who are not parishioners, but who want
to be a part of this amazing event. Bring your family, your
friends, your co-workers, your classmates. Children 10
years of age and older are encouraged to par�cipate with
parents. If child care is needed for children ages 4 to 10
contact Parish Social Ministry by April 1, 2016.
