JANUARY 13 (SATURDAY) - ARRIVE SANTIAGO, CHILE. You will be met on arrival and transferred to SAN CRISTOBAL TOWER HOTEL, a Luxury Collection Hotel. Set against the imposing backdrop of the Andes Mountains, the Chilean capital is regarded as one of the most modern and safest cities in Latin America. We will explore Santiago to see its mix of old and modern architecture. Also visit the Bohemian quarter of the city and the house of famous poet Pablo Neruda.

JANUARY 14 (SUNDAY) SANTIAGO- FULL DAY TOUR OF VALPARAISO AND VINA DEL MAR (B, L)We will cross the coastal mountain range to first visit Quintay Winery to taste wines and a 5 courses lunch at the vineyard. Continue drive to arrive at Valparaiso, the country’s main port city. See its picturesque hills and corners, touring the labyrinth of its streets and climbing on its elevators for a panoramic view of the city. Following the coast to the north side of the bay we will arrive to the city of Viña del Mar, the highly-visited resort of the zone.

JANUARY 15 (MONDAY) SANTIAGO- PUERTO MONTT – PUERTO VARAS- LAKE DISTRICT (B, L)Morning fly to Chile’s beautiful Lake district. Brief tour of Puerto Montt, see view of the port, fishing villages, visit a handicraft market of Angelmo. Continue to Puerto Varas- the City of Roses. HOTEL PUERTO VARAS sits on the southwest banks of the expansive Lake Llanquihue, which offers commanding views of snow-capped Osorno Volcano and Calbuco Volcano, both still active. Traditional German-style architecture characterizes the town, reflecting its colonial past.

Lunch at the hotel restaurant. Later visit Church of Puerto Varas and the main square.

Start with downtown Bariloche, see the houses of pioneers who settled the area, drive around Lake Nahuel Huapi to see nearby attractions. Stand in the shadow of the impressive Mt Campanario, looming 3,444 feet, for a view the region’s mountains, lakes and verdant forests. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy your beautiful hotel.

JANUARY 18 (THURSDAY) BARILOCHE - EL CALAFATE- Torres Del Paine National Park (B, D) Morning a short flight brings us to the remote town of El Calafate, after lunch in a local restaurant, we drive across into Chile to the most. Today we drive across Chile into the most spectacular part of this tour to the Torres Del Paine National Park and our luxury hotel THE EXPLORA. Explora Patagonia is located at the center of the Torres del Paine National Park, the heart of Patagonia, on the shores of Lake Pehoe. It has breathtaking views of the Paine ridge and the granite towers.

JANUARY 19 (FRIDAY) TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)With over 40 excursions to choose from, we will cover many areas in the Park either on foot, horseback, or by van. off to the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few advancing glaciers. Huge icebergs from the glacier will collapse into the Lake. The roar of the gigantic ice rocks falling and crashing into the waters of the channel is a unique experience. Walk along the footpath to view the Glacier from different viewpoints.

JANUARY 23 (TUESDAY) EL CALAFATE (B, L, D)Today we cruise aboard RIOS DE HIELO EXPRESS- shared service with box lunch- sail across the North Arm of Lake Argentino to the Upsala Canal, where we find a spectacular Ice Barrier. From there we will have a panoramic view of Upsala Glacier. Then we navigate the Spegazzini Canal, where we can observe the Seco Glacier to reach the front of the highest Spegazzini Glacier National Park, our last point of visit.

JANUARY 24 (WEDNESDAY) EL CALAFATE- BUENOS AIRES- (B)Fly to Buenos Aires this morning. We begin our 2-3 hours drive to the airport for a flight to the interesting, elegant city of Buenos Aires. PARK TOWER HOTEL.

JANUARY 27, (SATURDAY) BUENOS AIRES (AEP Airport)- IGUASSU FALLS

Morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Iguassu- Argentina side airport. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to HOTEL SHERATON (Fallsview room)/BELMOND DAS CATARATAS HOTEL -Brazilian side (Deluxe Room)

Afternoon guided tour of the Barazilian side of the Falls. 80% of the Falls are on Argentina side and though the trail on Brazilian side is only about 3000 feet, it offers the most spectacular views of the falls on both sides. You will also get an opportunity to see the falls upclose from a platform accessed by an elevator. (Valid multiple entry visa for Brazil is required). OPTIONAL- A 10 minute helicopter ride over the falls- approximately $150 per person.

JANUARY 28, (SUNDAY) IGUASSU FALLS- ARGENTINA SIDE (B, L)

Full day tour of Argentina side of the falls + Gran Adeventura Jungle ride + boat trip to the falls. Your private vehicle and driver/guide will drive you across the border to the Argentina side falls. The Great Adventure is unique, and combines the whole essence of the Iguassu National Park in one ride: the jungle and the waterfalls. It starts by entering the jungle from the “Sendero Yacaratía” trail with special safari type open trucks that allows a 5.5kms ride through the jungle with panoramic view of the environment along with experienced guides. Arrive at the Puerto Macuco Base, which is 100 meters away from the Infirmary and Service Station, and 100 meters of downhill steps ahead to reach the floating platform where the second part of this ride begins. With large powerful motor-boats, visitors are taken through the Canyon of the Iguassu River upstream, until the falls, from these total, 2 km are river rapids. After enjoying the view from the calm side of San Martin Island we sail to the “Tres Mosqueteros” waterfall, at that point, the Brazilian and Argentinean sides and the Devil’s Throat can be clearly appreciated. Later we sail along the shore of the island until we get to the most exciting part where we face the San Martin waterfall, a wonderful and unforgettable experience, for it’s the largest waterfall any motor-boat can approach safely. There is 100% chance of getting wet! ponchos are provided along with safety gear. We return to the boat landing, then a slow climb to the trails of Argentina side. Your guide will walk you through different lookout points before Lunch. Transfer back to your hotel.

JANUARY 30 (TUESDAY) RIO DE JANEIRO Full day city tour of Sugar Loaf and Corcovado with English speaking guide.

Pick up from your Hotel for a Full Day Tour including visit to Corcovado (ticket included) and Sugar Loaf visit (cable car ticket included). We will cross the tunnel Rebouças to reach the traditional residential area of Cosme Velho and the train station of the Corcovado. We board the train that climbs up to the base of the statue of the Christ Redeemer, at the top of the mountain, passing through the lush forest of Tijuca, one of the largest green areas of forest preservation in the world.

Lunch not included.

Later depart for downtown and you will meet the Old Rio and have the chance to visit the cultural side of this beautiful city. Rio is also a city of a glorious honorable past, which should definitely be experienced. This tour to by taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where it is located one of the largest symbols of the city: the Sugar Loaf.

This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where one can have a beautiful view from the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge and Corcovado hill. From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395 meters to find a splendid view from Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niterói.

RESERVATIONSA $2000 deposit, along with the completed Trip Registration Form will reserve a space for you. Final payments are due 120 days prior to departure.

CANCELLATIONIf you must cancel your trip, your deposit and all payments will be refunded, less a cancellation fee. If written notice of cancellation is received more than 120 days prior to departure, the penalty is $1000 per person. 119 days to 90 Days prior 50% penalty, 89 days till departure 100% penalty.
