WI FI Installation of Wi Fi in Blocks E and B has been completed and all classes can access the internet on the iPads. Sincere thanks to the P&C for their donation of $5,000.00 to help with the cost. Your support is greatly appreciated. CHORAL CHOIR Next Monday 21 October our Senior choir will be performing at the Sydney Opera House in the evening. Students have been very busy rehearsing and we wish them good luck on the night. Sincere thanks to Mrs Pettitt, Mrs Collins and Mrs Tierney for preparing the students for their performance. SWIMMING LESSONS K-2 Students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 started swimming lessons last Friday. All students thoroughly enjoyed the activity and are looking forward to this week’s lesson. Sincere thanks to the parents who have been helping with walking the students to and from the pool.

Platinum and Gold Award recipients

The CPR HELP Safety Awareness Program is coming to Tower Street Public School on Tuesday 29 & Wednesday 30 October 2013 Permission notes for this program were sent out last term. If you have misplaced your note, another one can be downloaded from our website or obtained from the school office. Please send completed notes with money to the office as soon as possible. PROMS CONCERT As mentioned previously, our Junior choir performed at Sydney Town Hall at the end of last term. They should be congratulated for their performance. Well done!!!!

MAKE A WISH DAY A huge thank you to everyone who supported Make A Wish Day. Many students and teachers came dressed up making the day a great success. A donation of $219.00 was made to the Make a Wish Foundation.

A reminder to parents and community members-If you haven’t purchased your tickets for the Schools Spectacular on Friday 29 or 30 November, there are tickets still available from Ticketmaster.

MEDICAL FORMS- A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER

The Department of Education and Communities will be updating our medical records systems and require us to have the most up-to-date information on your child’s health. It is most important that the school has the most up to date information on your child’s medical or health conditions. The new forms help us collect your child’s important medical information, and the introduction of new systems will mean the school will be able to better manage the daily and emergency health needs of your child. New forms have been sent out to families a number of times. There are still some forms which have not been returned. The information needed is very important so please return all forms to the office as a matter of urgency.

The first fundraising event for this term is our school disco next Friday 18 October. BBQ will start at 5.30pm and Disco at 6.00pm.

Price is $5 per child or $10 per family. Students can pay for the disco for the rest of this week and all of next week.

Please pay at the office and your name will be marked off and a wrist ban will be given on the night.

Theme for the disco is Fright Night so come dressed up as your favourite character scary or not.

There will be a BBQ list for volunteers going up at the school in the days to come.

We are also looking for parents who can volunteer on the night on the food stalls and glow stick stalls.
