the danish pavilion by BIG architects

the danish pavilion by BIG architects at shanghai expo 2010 allow s visitors to

experience some of copenhagen's best attractions through their city bikes, the harbour

bath and a natural playground.

the pavilion aims to relaunch the bike in shanghai as a symbol of a modern lifestyle

and sustainable urban development. at the entrance 1500 city bikes are available to

visitors, in w hich they are invited to ride throughout the 4 levels of the pavilion

connected by a loop shaped.

at the center of the harbor bath sits the little mermaid, a statue w hich has become

a symbol for denmark, w hich has been temporarily moved to china.
