Choosing your ammeter clamp
There is a wide range of criteria for choosing an ammeterclamp. The approach below is designed to help define yourrequirements and guide you naturally towards the model whichbest suits your application.
The criteria selected are classified from 1 to 6.
To choose your clamp, we advise you to followthis logic:
� Measurement of direct or alternating current?(AC/DC clamps or AC clamps tables )
� High or low currents? (see the “Input” column to define the appropriate familiesof clamps)
� On small wires or large cables? (see thediagrams at the bottom of the nextpage and only choose families withthe shapes and dimensionsrequired)
� What instrument will it be connect-ed to? (see “Input / Connection”column to choose a clamp withcompatible signal and connectionpossibilities)
� What are your other criteria? (see“Specific features” column to checkthat the clamp chosen fulfils yourrequirements perfectly)

Flexible current sensors
20 A / 200 A
The range is composed of 9 standard models*dedicated to the measurement of AC currentsfrom 0.5 A to 10 kA, at industrial frequencies.Each flexible core (48, 80 or 120 cm longdepending on the model) is connected by ashielded cable to a small box containing the
processing electronics and a standard 9 V bat-tery. The distance between the sockets (19 mm)facilitates direct connection to any type of mul-timeter, tester or recorder equipped with an ACvoltage input (impedance Z > 1 MΩ).The quick and simple system for opening/closing
the core makes it easy to handle even withsafety gloves.Other strong points: very lightweight (no mag-netic circuit), no saturation effect, highly accu-rate and very little phase shift (for wattmetermeasurements).
