Step 2: Enter Account Information - Account Owner’s Section
This wireframe presents all the required fields that will be part of the Step 2 of the Create New Account Process - Account Owner’s Section.
Functional Notes
ID Element Description1 Required Fields All required fields appear in the Required Fields section. Additionally there are a
select group of fields that are technically optional but due to relevant association and convenience for the user are to be displayed in this section (Example: Middle Initial, see note below for details).
Otherwise all other optional fields will be presented within the Additional Fields sub-section and will be displayed when users click on the Show Additional Fields link. The order of the fields in the wireframes is the order they are to be presented (when required), and have been sequenced to offer customers a relevant flow of information to be captured.-----------Note: Please refer to the Data Matrix and Use Case Specifications for logic, field and conditional display details.
2 Optional Fields As Part of Required Section
There are some fields (IE: Middle Initial) that are technically optional, but due to user relevance will display in context with related required fields, with the label optional appearing in parenthesis. This is a display rule only, in terms of validation and status updating they will be treated as optional fields.Data Matrix and requirements updates to indicate these “Optional, but display in required area.”
3 Format Display Within Text Field
Fields that require entry based on specific formats will display format within the text box. Example here is Social Security: The nine digit format is displayed by default. (E.g. ___-__-____). As soon as the user clicks on the text box to enter the information, this tip goes away.-----------Note: Please refer to the Data Matrix and Use Case Specifications for fields that can present format tips within text fields and the noted format fora each.
4 Date of Birth Field The use can enter the date within the text box. The system will validate the format if incorrect. See wireframe Date And Address Fields - Interactions for details.Only the Date of Birth date entry will not have a calendar feature. All other dates fields will have the ability to type in the date or select a date from a calendar feature.
5 Social Security, Date, Phone Fields
If user enters information in a different format such as (000)-000-0000 or 000.000.0000 for a phone number, the system will automatically format it to 000-000-0000. This logic also applies to social security number, date and phone entry fields. As long as required characters are entered, the system will automatically format the entry for the given field type.

The wireframes presented on this page are the designs and the logic for the Date and Address Entry fields through out the form for Create New Account.
Functional Notes
ID Element Description
1 Date Entry Dates can either be entered manually by typing in the content or user can select the calendar option.
2 Date - Manual Entry User can click on the field and enter the date. The system should format the date as long as it meets the character format and limit rules. For example: If user enters 06171985 instead of 06/17/1985, the system should automatically display the text entry in the mm/dd/yyyy format.
If user forgets a character, then in-line validation will occur as soon as they take the focus off this field.
3 In-line Validation (Syntax Validation)
An error message will be displayed based on the field level, character length validation. -----------Note: Please refer to the Data Matrix and Use Case Specifications for logic, field, error messages and conditional display details.
4 Calendar Entry As a secondary option, user can select dates via a calendar. They can move through years and months within the calendar and then select a date.
5 Country Selection The country selection is moved to the top as the first address entry field so that the selection can drive the selection options for City and State. If user selects a country and enters all the information and then decides to change the country, then all the information entered for the first country selected will be lost.
Refer to the data matrix of how the field labels for State and Zip Code will change depending on the selection being United States or Canada.
6 City, State and Zip Fields
User can type in the value for City field. The State field is presented in a drop down. User can scan and navigate through the drop down list. The user can also enter a character and the drop down list will present options that begin with that character.User can type in the value for zip or postal code field.

This wireframe presents the layout and fields related to the Step 2 of the Create New Account Process - Account Details section.
Functional Notes
ID Element Description
1 Account Owner’s Information
The user can chose to collapse this section or keep it open and expand the next section. In either case, once the user has entered all the required information, the status for required fields changes to ‘Completed’.
2 Account Details - Required Fields
This section presents all the fields that would be required for a selected product. Based on product type selection, relationship level controls and user’s entitlement, the system will know which of the fields to display in the required section (as previously described). The fields are grouped together based on relevance and association. The order of the fields presented in the wireframes is also relevant and important to the flow of information to be captured.Three text fields of equal width will be displayed per row. If the user enters more characters than the text field can display, then the text box will not extend. The system should allow the user to enter the needed characters as noted for each segment and the values will scroll left to right or right to left as the user clicks within the text box and highlights the characters.-----------Note: Please refer to the Data Matrix and Use Case Specifications for logic, field and conditional display details.
3 Default Accounting Code - Display and Search
The individual segments that make up the default accounting code are presented in this section. The label indicates the number of characters needed for data entry for that particular segment. (Example: Index (3)). There are some segments that have valid values. These values can also be reached. A search icon is presented next to the text box. The user can click on the search icon to access the search feature. Please see wireframe Step 2: Enter Account Information - Account Details Section - DAC Search for details.
