Angular TrunkingThe introduction of 45° mounting trunkingconverts Epilux and Rotolux to �xeddirection �ttings on wall, ceiling and cornice.

SupplyFor an individual luminaire the trunkinglength is supplied with 2 Blank end capsas standard which are drive �t to trunkingends. The length is identical to the overalllength of the �tting. The colour is matchedto that chosen for the luminaire.

The mountings come as standard with thetrunking.

For multi-�tting mounted trunking, lengthsof 1.9 metres are supplied for the requiredrun. Plain in�lls supplied in lengths to suitinstallation parameters.

MountingFor mounting an individual �tting eachtrunking piece is drilled for both wall andceiling �xing.

A studded plate is �tted by taptite c'sunkscrews to the trunking and luminairesecured to the plate by nuts andlockwasher.OptionsLuminaire end caps can be supplied withsecret head captive screws.Additionally a 20mm clearance hole canbe punched through the end cap on sitefor conduit and locknut connection.LampsEpilux - 2/3 lamp Rotolux - 1/2 lamp

The standard spanpass is designed for a chamfer length from 180 to 250mm at 45°(bespoke versions are available)

Chamfer length

The construction comprises both a front and end section together with several �xed length trunking sections which house lamp(s)and control gear.All bolt together to form an almost seamless installation of excellent visual quality.The exposed areas are produced to withstand substantial vandal attack, metalwork 1.6+2.0 mm thick whilst the di�user is 4mm thick vandal resistant opal polycarbonate. Increased thickness of panel to 6mm can be speci�ed where necessary.Each section is packaged as a sub-assembly to ensure simple and speedy installation with pre-wired facility to the control gearmounted to the gear trough.Testing of the installation can be carried out before applying screw down of the suspended di�user panel assembly to the trunking.Finish is standard RAL 9010 white gloss whilst other colours can be supplied to speci�cation for matching colour schemes.Materials : Mild steel body and di�user frame - Opal polycarbonate di�user - High frequency control gear. All metalwork pretreated prior to powder coating.

Security and amenityQuorum's brightest feature however is the aforementionedunique 'pluggable' electronic control module which transformsthe basic function of the luminaire into one of security and apersonal convenience. To connect the �tting simply plug inone of the four module options (SEN, LUX, DIG or TRI), to givethe required function. What's more a single module will slavea further 5 Quorum luminaires.

Unique circuit bridgeAnother unique feature is the bridging plug whichcompletes the mains circuit for normal lamp functionsbut is removed and parked inside the luminaire when amodule is installed. In the unlikely event of a malfunctionre-inserting the mains bridge will re-establish the normalswitch function - so there is no need to take the luminaireo� the wall.

Sentrico Person DetectionSEN (module external and hard wired)The use of a remote control unit for movement detection in this application both Internally and Externally is primarily for convenience. Using such a system can provide multi luminaire illumination for tunnels, passages, corridors and larger areas with restricted entries without the need for separate switching. Luminaire remains on for 5 minutes afterthe last detected movement.

A 24 hour version is available which operates in both daylight and darkness with 15 minute ON period after last movement.

Sheltered exposure to the elements is recommended when used externally.

The key aspects of the above are detailed to ensure that the correct format of luminaire can be applied to the cell accommodationrequired. It should be noted that these are the only luminaires required for test to meet the above application. Deviations from standardcan be manufactured to user requirement with the same integrity but are not approved by Custodial Property, an agency of the Ministryof Justice.

Dimensions: Ceiling (cell centre) - length (dependent upon tube selection) x 350 mm wide x 130 mm deep.Toilet recess and Bedhead - 450 mm x 450 mm x 130 mm deep.

Illumination: Cell - two T5 tubes (colour 830) of dissimilar values providing average of 200 Lux at a point 1500 mm below thecentre of the luminaire and must not exceed 290 Lux average. Additional lamp as night light to provide a minimumof 10 Lux at the bedhead, and must not exceed 15 Lux.Toilet recess - shall contain a lamp giving 150 Lux at 1500mm directly below the luminaire.

Operation: Two main tubes will be separate circuits operated by H.F. ballastsNight light operation will be from a H.F. ballast with pf. corr ection. All circuits fused.

Di�user: Opal polycarbonate with 50% obscuration - this requirement may be reduced as circumstances may require a compromise - Custodial Property discretion.

Classi�cation: IP.65

Flammability and puncture resistanceThe test procedure is the application of heat to the di�user by lighter or match initially 90 seconds. An attempt to puncture thedi�user, using pen pencil etc. will be made. This process of applying heat and attempting to puncture will be continued for up to8 minutes or until the di�user is punctured, whichever comes f irst.Any di�user sustaining a �ame or punctured within the allotte d time will be deemed as failing to meet the speci�cation.

Manufacturer commentIt should be noted that there is a direct relationship between obscuration, lamp wattage and thickness of di�user associated with the above test and performance criteria.

Test information will be published, and the end user will decideif the �tting is suitably robust for the application.

The installation comprises a front section together with severa l �xed length trunking sections which house lamp(s)and control gear and in�ll panels whilst an end section completes the run.

All bolt together to form an almost seamless installation of excellent visual quality.

The exposed areas are produced to withstand substantial vandal attack, metalwork 1.2 mm thick whilst the di�user is 3mm thick vandal resistant opal �re retardant polycarbonate as standard. A thicker (4mm) panel can be �tted asoption with corresponding reduction in light output value.

Each section is packaged as a sub-assembly to ensure simple and speedy installation with pre-wired facility to the control gear mounted to the gear trough.

Testing of the installation can be carried out before applying screw down of the suspended di�user panel assembly tothe trunking.

Finish is standard RAL 9010 white gloss whilst other colours can be supplied to speci�cation.

There are two methods of indicating the impact resistance on the diffuser of a liminaire.

One uses the 3rd. digit in addition to the normal IP classification, whilst the other relates to IEC 62262.

3rd. digitRanges from 0 to 9 (highest) on the following basis :

7 = 1kg. dropped from a height of 0.4M = 6 Joules.9 = 5kg. dropped from a height of 0.4M = 20 Joules.
