Problems with the Resume, as it exists today
Job-seekers Employers
I find it tough to keep my Resume
updated.
How much data do I add and what do
I leave out?
My Resume does not allow me to
really highlight my strengths.
Can I control which jobs match my
Resume, and which don’t?
How do I find the best ones from the
many resumes I get for each opening?
I see the skills, but how good is the
person at them?
Is there a way to be sure the information
is genuine?
Is the candidate a good fit for the
company culture and the particular job?
Can screening Resumes be less tedious
and a more pleasant experience?

Potential Exit Scenarios
1. Acquisition by a larger player in a complementary spaceCareograf is may be a visual resume to be used by job seekers. But for the Enterprise, it is a valuable data
source. And it will be of great interest to multiple players. For a start, LinkedIn is a very possible acquirer, as
there is significant overlap of interests, and LinkedIn can make use of Careograf’s deep data model and visual
resume. Companies like Naukri and Monster would be interested in Careograf for the same reasons, as they
will be able to fight back at LinkedIn, which has been eating into the recruitment market of these players.
Existing ATS tools like Taleo, Jobvite, SuccessFactors etc. would be interested in Careograf as it adds an
important dimension to their product. And finally – and this might be a long shot – but Google And
Facebook both might be interested in Careograf if the user numbers are significant enough, as both have a
need to drive more users, and especially different
2. Subsequent round of investment.I have discussed the idea and demonstrated the product to a number of VCs and Angels. The response has
been very positive and they all agree that Careograf is a fundable business. However, I need to build some
traction before Indian institutional investors will consider an investment. If Careograf is able to meet its
traction targets, it is sure to attract investment from Venture Capital or Angel funds. This will give an
opportunity for early investors to cash our with very good returns.
