February Memory Verse"Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what

is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

No matter what brings you here or what you're facing, take heart: "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 27:1).

Give to Our God Immortal PraiseGive to our God immortal praise; Mercy and truth are all His ways: Hallelujah, Hal-lelujah! Wonders of grace to God belong, Repeat His mercies in your song: Hal-lelujah, Hallelujah! Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

2. Give to the Lord of lords renown; The King of kings with glory crown: Hallelujah, Hallelujah! His mercies ever shall endure, When lords and kings are known no more: Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah!

3. He built the earth, He spread the sky, And fixed the starry lights on high: Halle-lujah, Hallelujah! Wonders of grace to God belong, Repeat His mercies in your song: Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelu-jah, Hallelujah!

A Mighty Fortress Is Our GodA mighty fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing; Our helper He amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing. For still our ancient foe Doth seek to work us woe— His craft and pow’r are great, And armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal.

2. Did we in our own strength confide, Our striving would be losing. Were not the right man on our side, The man of God’s own choosing. Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He— Lord Sabaoth His name, From age to age the same, And He must win the battle.

3. And tho’ this world, with devils filled, Should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to tri-umph thro’ us. The prince of darkness grim, We tremble not for him— His rage we can endure, For lo, his doom is sure: One little word shall fell him.

4. That word above all earthly pow’rs, No thanks to them, abideth; The Spirit and the gifts are ours Thro’ Him who with us sideth. Let goods and kindred go, This mortal life also— The body they may kill; God’s truth abideth still; His kingdom is forever.

Ask Ye What Great Thing I Know Ask ye what great thing I know That delights and stirs me so? What the high reward I win? Whose the name I glory in? Jesus Christ, the Crucified.

4. This is that great thing I know; This delights and stirs me so: Faith in Him who died to save, Him who triumphed o'er the grave: Jesus Christ, the Crucified.

Come, Come

Before the Throne of God AboveBefore the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea A great High Priest whose name is Love Who ever lives and pleads for me My name is graven on His hands my name is written on His heartI know that while in heav'n He stands no tongue can bid me thence departNo tongue can bid me thence depart

When Satan tempts me to despair and tells

me of the guilt within Upward I look and see Him there Who made an end of all my sin Because the sinless Savior died my sin-ful soul is counted free For God the Just is satisfied to look on Him and pardon meTo look on Him and pardon me

Behold Him there the Risen Lamb my perfect spotless Righteousness The great unchangeable I Am The King of Glory and of grace One with Himself I cannot die my soul is purchased by His blood My life is hid with Christ on high with Christ my Savior and my God With Christ my Savior and my God

He Knows My Name:I have a Maker He formed my heartBefore even time began My life was in His hand

He knows my name He knows my every thought He sees each tear that falls and hears me when I call

I have a Father, He calls me His ownHe'll never leave me No matter where I go

He knows my name He knows my every thought He sees each tear that falls and hears me when I call

He knows my name He knows my every thought He sees each tear that falls and hears me when I call

Mission Opportunity on the horizon…Plans are being made now for a week long mission's adventure in Jamaica. A group

from CBC is going to the Christian Caribbean Center for the Deaf (CCCD) in Kingston, on April 2-9, 2016. Older teens may accompany their parent(s) on the trip. The main focus of the trip is to continue building relationships with CCCD, help with projects about the campus, and see up-close what God is accomplishing there. Estimated cost of the trip is $1,300 per participant. See Mike Petty or Andy Merillat for details.

CBC Missions Conference 2016

Lilburn Community Soccer OutreachOn Saturday, February 27, CBC is teaming up with Providence Christian Academy and Fel-

lowship of Christian Athletes to provide a free soccer clinic for boys and girls ages 7-14. This free clinic will be from 10 AM to 12 noon at Providence, and will be facilitated by professional soccer players in the Atlanta area. CBC members are encouraged to help spread the word and also to attend in order meet families. The goal in all of this is missions: to reach the families, especially internationals, that live among us here in Lilburn. Lord willing, this clinic will pave the way for our Lilburn recreational soccer league commencing this fall (2016).

26. Pray for our World Mission Conference that begins today. Pray for safety in travel and good health for our missionaries and guest speakers, Norman and David Geisler. Pray that they will have just the right messages that the Lord has planned for us. Pray for the luncheon today for all the missionaries and the staff, that it will be a good time of fellowship and catching up. Pray for the covered dish dinner tonight at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Pray for good attendance, for our keynote speaker and for God to move in the hearts of all present to a greater awareness of missions. That we will be doers and not just hearers of the sermons presented to us.

27. Pray for the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf in Jamaica. Steering children into being productive and responsible adults is no easy feat, especially deaf children. Giving special needs children a similar chance is perhaps more difficult. Yet, for 56 years it is the path that the Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf (CCCD) has taken. Pray for wisdom for the board and for the necessary finances to run the school. Pray also for the salvation of the students and that there will be jobs available after graduation.

= Pray for Grant Gossling, that his next scans will show progress toward destroy-ing the cancer… and for his family — for strength and grace for each passing day. Ask God to be there in every moment… and to heal this little one.

= Pray for Jack DeLany, former CBC member, as he mourns the passing of his beloved wife, Norvella. Ask the Lord to comfort and encourage Jack.

Please remember the following special missions requests taken from our monthly prayer guide. Numbers refer to days of the month.

21. Pray for Sharon Lockhart and the Teenage Bible Study as they continue to study relationships with topics such as…marrying only a mature Believer, budgeting, reasons for divorce, raising children, and more. Please pray the teens will be prepared for the coming years when so many very important life decisions will be made. Continue to pray their love for the Word will increase.

22. Pray for Bible studies going on at pres-ent. Pray for the health of our teaching leaders, and that God would give them wisdom and re-call as they study and present the lessons. Pray that the new ladies joining WIS will assimilate quickly into their small groups.

23. Gene Purvis will be traveling to Costa Rica Feb 24-28, where he will speak at a celebra-tion of the 125th Anniversary of the Gospel's arrival in Costa Rica. Continue to pray for the leadership of the Iglesia Biblica de Gracia, in Lawrenceville. Also pray for Gene's mom's health.

24. Please pray for Rob and Tammy Kocher. Ask the Lord to bless others through their gifts of hospitality and organizational skills. Pray for them to be sensitive to cultural differences as they entertain and work with many people from all over the world. Pray for Tammy's time management and energy as she home schools Robby and Charisa.

25. Pray for Ben Gaines as he teaches Eng-lish as a second language in China. Ask the Lord to give him creative ideas as to how to share the Gospel with the people in his area. Pray that the Lord would give him good encouragement this month.

A thirst for righteousnessWhile living in the Middle East, Bible

scholar Kenneth Bailey gained new insight about Jesus' Beatitude "Blessed are those who hunger and thrist for righteousness" (Matthew 5:6, NIV).

In Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes (IVP Academic), Bailey tells of traveling with friends through the Sahara Desert when it was 110 degrees in the shade, "and there was no shade." One of their goatskin water bags leaked empty, and, after consuming their remaining water, they journeyed a day and a half intensely thirsty. Bailey's vision blurred, and his mouth was so dry he couldn't eat. Finally, they reached an ancient well, whose water was their salvation.

Bailey explains righteousness vari-ously as peace, justice and right relation-ship with God. "As I staggered on [in the desert], my mind turned to [Matthew 5:7]," he writes, "and I knew that I had never sought righteousness with the same single-minded passion that I now gave to the quest for water."
