If you are ever in doubt . . . Touch the “reset” button to clear

Place original(s) in feed tray

Type the number of copies

Sort vs. Stack

99% of the time the teachers will want you to use the STACK button!

Example: Classroom set is needed of 5 different math worksheets. Place all 5 in the feeder tray. Hit Stack. Type in 25. Hit start. This will copy 25 of page 1; then 25 of page 2; etc. Copies will offset.

The SORT button would copy 25 packets of page 1-5 – generally will NOT be used!

Touch the staple button (auto defaulted to staple in upper left corner)

Finishing button can be touched if you want the staples in a different place or if you would like 2 staples (otherwise do not touch)

To hole punch:

Touch the punch button (auto defaulted to 3 hole punch on left side of the paper)

Finishing button can be touched if you want the hole punches in a different place or if you would like 2 hole punches instead of 3 (otherwise do not touch)

For 1 sided copies that you need to make 2 sided

For 2 sided copies that you want to keep 2 sided

Place workbook face down on the glass (line up spine with the 8 ½ mark on the top of the glass)

Touch the 4th button on the bottom of the home screen “Dup./Combine/Series”

Copying Workbooks:

On the next screen touch “Series”

Touch “Spread – 1 Sided” This will copy both sides of

the workbook on 2 separate sheets of paper

Main paper source is on the right hand side of the machine (default paper source): lift lid; press button (tray will lower); add paper and close the lid. Holds 4000 sheets!

Tray 1: Pull open drawer; add 2-3 reams of paper; this tray auto-fills the other side of the drawer

Tray 2: Perfect for colored paper Tray 3: Legal size paper (office has more if needed) Multipurpose Tray: Near the main paper source;

pull open and pull out “paper holders”; great for tag board or odd size paper

Use microfiber cloth to clean glass Please inform Mrs. Komlos (office) if the

staples or toner is out Adjust the density if copying workbooks with

the answers in light blue (lighten) For a jam: follow the steps to correct the

problem You will be logged out if inactive for 60

seconds

Teachers can no longer auto-print from their computers

They can send it to the copier but they must come type in their code to retrieve it

Please be respectful of their time as they will be respectful of your time . . . if you are at a good stopping point, please logoff and let them login to retrieve their copies. On the other hand if they are not in a time crunch, they can go to a different copier in the school to retrieve their copies
