    Preface This Handbook has been prepared by the faculty of the Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (EDLP) program to provide you information and resources, while you are enrolled in our cohorts. In an effort to assist you with University, College of Education and Graduate and Professional Studies in Education (GPSE) program requirements, policies & procedures, we have designed this Student Handbook to provide basic information you may need. It is planned as an easily accessible source of information. There is no substitute for individual, personal contact and relationship with a faculty advisor. Advising is important in the department. Every student admitted into any of our approved programs, is assigned a faculty advisor. The role of the advisor is to provide information to the student on all matters related to EDLP and on such other professional and personal concerns deemed appropriate. Appointments with faculty advisors can be arranged, as necessary, to accommodate the needs of individual students. The faculty advisor is a person to see if the student is feeling bogged down or
