ThetouchscreenoftheiPadoffersseveralpossibilitiesthatarenotavailableonaPC,calledgestures.Examplesofthesegestures,usedinCompleteDynamics,are:
Swipe.Placeyourfingeronthescreen,andswipeitleft,right,up,ordown.Oftenusedtoturnpagesinabook.Alsousedtoscrollcontentsthatistoolargetofitonthescreen.Pinch.Placetwofingersonthescreen,thenmovethemtowardsorawayfromeachother.UsedintheBookmoduletomakethetextsmallerorlarger.
SharingcasesbetweenyouriPadandyourPCworksslightlydifferentthanbetweentwoPCs,becausecopyingfilestoandfromyouriPadrequirestheuseiftheiTunesapplicationonyourPC.YouwillfindaspecialsectiononthisunderCasemodule,casesharing.

YoucanholdyouriPadintwodifferentpositions,calledlandscapeandportraitorientation.TheCompleteDynamicsapplicationwillautomaticallyadjustthewayitshowsyouinformation,accordingtothewayyouholdyouriPad.

Speedandmemory
TheiPadisnotalargecomputerlikearealPC,withalmostunlimitedspeedandmemory.SinceCompleteDynamicsisaverycomplexandlargeprogram,thisimposessomerestrictionsontheiPadversion.Ifyouunderstandtheserestrictions,theyshouldnotbeaproblemtoyou.
TheCompleteRepertorycontainsalmost250,000rubrics,holding2,500,000remedyentries!TosearchforspecificinformationintheFindmodule,allthisinformationneedstobecompared.Tomakethismoreefficient,theprogramtriestokeepasmuchinformationinmemoryaspossible.Whentheinformationisnotinmemory,itneedstobereadfromthedatabase.
Thefirsttimeyoudoafind,youmaynoticethatsearchingcanberelativelyslow.Butthenextfindisconsiderablefaster,oftenjustafewseconds(dependingonthecomplexityofyourquery),becausetherubricsandremediesarealreadyinmemory.

Youtypicallyusemorethan1programonyouriPad.AlltheseprogramsneedtorunusingthelimitedmemoryoftheiPad.Whenthereisnotenoughmemoryforallprograms,theiPadaskstheprogramstofreememory.Whenthishappens,CompleteDynamicsfreesasmuchmemoryasitcan.Consequently,thenextFindmightagaintakemoretime.
Whileyouworkwithoneprogram,theotherprogramsdonothing.Duringthistime,whenmemorybecomestoolimited,theiPadwillsimplyendotherprogramswithoutawarning.ThisisnotlikeitisdoneonPCs,butthisisthewaytheiPadsoftwarewasdesigned.Whenendingaprogram,theiPadpreferstoendlargerprograms.Inmostcases,thiswillbeCompleteDynamics,becauseitisnotjustasmallgameprogram.Thisimpliesthatwhenyouworkwithanotherprogram,CompleteDynamicscansilentlybeended,andthenexttimeyouselectithastostartalloveragain.
