Giancarlo Spezia, Chevalier du Tastevin du Clos de Vougeot, is a mechanical engineer that started to design, patent and produce specific machines for use in the vineyard in 1989. Professor in Vineyard Mechanization at The Catholic University Of Sacro Cuore from 2002 till to 2010, since 2001 he has made a particular contribution to the development and spread of tele measuring for precision viticulture. He is the inventor of the Leaf Stripper machine with automatic approach to the canopy and of the “schiumone” a hot foam weeding prototype to dry out the grass in vineyard sub-row. During our last 50 years of history, the company won ten international awards for research and innovation in viticulture.
Our Mission is the care and the health of the grapes. Our machines are strictly designed to reach this goal. We would like to give them the right sun, using our innovative leaf stripper, or protect them from pathogenic bacteria, thank to our tooth-blade trimmers. We have developed machines with high reliability and capable of combining mechanics, hydraulics and software to deliver to the market the most innovative solutions for the correct management of the vineyard also from the crop health point of view.Our machines are used by major international winegrowers such as ANTINORI, GAJA, CHATEAU DE THUN, ORNELLAIA, SOLDERA CASE BASSE, BIONDI SANTI, CASANOVA DEI NERI, AVIGNONESI, FERRARI, FRESCOBALDI, ZONIN, RUFFINO, BANFI, JERMANN, BOLLA, HUNDRED HILLS VINEYARDS, GERMANO ETTORE, CERETTO and many others.
