1. Give us some background onyour teaching career.

I’ve been teaching for 30years. I’ve taught SpecialEducation, kindergarten, sec-ond grade, and third grade.Much of my career has been inBaldwin County public schoolswith most of those years beingspent at Davis Elementary. It’sreally neat that I currently teachthe daughter of one of my Davisstudents!

2. What three words do youthink students use to describeyou?

I had some words in mind, and I asked this year’s studentsto write down words so that Icould see if they thought thesame way I was thinking. Thetop words we came up with were

“kind, funny and motivating.” Ialways expect my students to dotheir best on all they do, and Iremind them often that they cando more than they think theycan.

3. What interests do you haveoutside of school?

I love to spend time with myfamily, play with my puppies, and as all my students could tellyou — READ!

4. If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?

This is a hard decision, but Ithink I would choose superstrength. If I was super strong Iwould be able to help peoplewith everyday tasks and couldalso help those who might be indanger.
