About BAMM Art FairIn 2019 BAMM launched a new annual fundraising event that aimed to encourage, support and promote the work of local artists.

After the success of its first year, the BAMM Art Fair will return in 2020 a little differently. Due to the current climate of social distancing and gallery closures, BAMM is excited to host its first online exhibition. This will see 5-8 Micro Exhibitions by local and regional artists hosted online with all artworks available for sale. Don’t miss your chance to be involved in this exciting opportunity!

At this time BAMM will not go ahead with a Group Exhibition or Arts and Crafts Market Day, but we encourage you to keep planning in preparation for a bigger and better 2021.

BAMM Art Fair: Micro ExhibitionsAre you living near Moree and are keen to develop your practice with one of the BAMM Art Fair’s Micro Exhibitions and take part in BAMM’s first online exhibition?

Our Micro Exhibitions offer 5-8 local artists or groups of artists, living within a radius of 150km of Moree, the chance to feature a number of artworks in a dedicated exhibition. In 2020, all Micro Exhibitions will be promoted online. Each successful applicant will be assigned a BAMM webpage, promoted through Facebook and Instagram, and included in an exhibition catalogue for distribution prior to the opening of sales. BAMM staff will provide professional direction and support in curating, photographing and sales of artworks.

Due to the short lead time, 1) Artists must submit an Expression of interest (EOI), to be completed as soon as possible. 2) If chosen for a Micro Exhibition, artists will then submit a Full Exhibition Proposal with all relevant information and supporting documentation due Thursday 28 May 2020. 3) All artworks, promotional images and artwork details are due Friday 12 June 2020.

The selection panel will assess proposals on the following criteria:

• Cohesive exhibition content and rationale• Aesthetic value and understanding• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively• Exhibited works must have been created in the past two years (no earlier then July 2018)• All works submitted will be for sale, unless otherwise agreed in writing by BAMM• The Artist will fix the sale price on the Application Form (NB prices include GST and 25%

commission).

Exhibition size: Minimum of 6 artworks Maximum of 15 artworks, if interested in submitting more please discuss with BAMM staff

The Exhibitions Committee will consider all applications received by the due date. The decision of the Exhibitions Committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their proposal in writing (email). Proposal materials will be returned to unsuccessful applicants upon request and otherwise retained for inclusion on BAMM’s Artist Database. Successful applicants will be required to complete an exhibition agreement consenting to the terms and conditions of BAMM Art Fair, including BAMM’s 25% commission on all works sold.

Exhibition Proposals must include the following material:• A completed BAMM Art Fair Micro-Exhibition Application form• Proof of residence within 150km from Moree (eg: copy of your driver’s licence or utility bill)• In the case of a group show, at least half the applicants must satisfy the residential requirement.• Due to the short lead time, applications must include at least 4 images of works to be included

in the proposed exhibition• Digital images are preferred and must be clearly identified with the artist’s name, medium,

dimensions in centimeters (height x width x depth) and an indication of correct orientation• Poor quality images will seriously hinder the evaluation of your work• Curriculum Vitae (not more than 1 page) • Relevant support material if available eg: catalogues, installation images from previous

exhibitions, images of recent work• All artists will be automatically registered on BAMM’s Artist Database.

All works must be completed and submitted with appropriate promotional images and artwork details (sizing, materials) for exhibition promotion from Friday 15 June 2020, and be priced for sale including BAMM’s 25% commission. This information will be used for mar-keting purposes and inclusion in the Exhibition catalogue.

In the event that the Exhibition is able to open onsite, as well as online, BAMM staff will no-tify artists of exhibition dates. Artists will organise delivery and pickup of all unsold works to and from the BAMM site. All works will be accepted, displayed and returned at owner’s risk. BAMM accepts no liability for loss, damage or theft at all times.
