In 2019 Bury Football Club fans suffered the ultimate heartbreak when the club was expelled from the English Football League. With no buyer forthcoming and the prospect of losing the club looking ever more likely fans gathered to begin the process of rebuilding football within the town. Over 300 fans volunteered to create a “fan owned club” with the mantra of by the fans for the fans. Since October these volunteers have worked tirelessly to keep the clubs plight in the public eye whilst creating a club that will play football in the 2020/21 season.

This will be the culmination of a long road to watching football back in Bury, but in essence the journey has only just begun.
