Dear Friends, January 17, 2017 Holly and I are wishing a spiritually prosperous and a very Happy New Year to everyone on our prayer and support team. The Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and ministries in Mexico City could not be a reality if not for your consistent prayers and sacrifices! “Thank you!” Pastor Kent Wilson and his wife, Karen, came to be with us early December and we were blessed as brother Kent preached and baptized converts for us and sister Karen spoke to the ladies at a “Christmas Touch”. We had a work and supper time at the College property recently. Pictured above is a group of our men and teenagers that came out to help. The man just to my left, Ademar, is a walking miracle. At the age of 32, while fixing a flat on an 18 wheeler tire, it blew up and knocked him to ‘kingdom come’. He has had to undergo several surgeries and said “I can’t remember 10 years of my life”. His wife, Reina, nursed him back to health, teaching him how to eat, walk, talk and everything else. What a blessing! ANOTHER YEAR IN THE BOOKS: Our 2016 year in Mexico City will always be remembered as goals reached: GOAL REACHED: Paid off college property. Many steps forward have been taken since then. GOAL REACHED: “Unshackled” began to air on our weekly radio broadcast, “Calvary’s Road”. GOAL REACHED: We hosted 6 church groups from the states to “Come and See” the work. GOAL REACHED: Over 1,000 precious souls coming to faith in Jesus Christ and scores baptized. THIS YEAR’S GOALS: Along with many ministry goals, 2017 will include goals of planning and building by faith. Goal 1 is the raising of funds and the completion of our Bible College and School building. Goal 2 is the raising of funds for the purchase of property for our church house. Goal 3 is the planning of the building phase for our future church house facility. Goal 4 is the planning for a 24 hour FM Christian Radio Station. The above goals seem unreachable but we will not be deterred. Please pray for the Lord Jesus Christ to allow us to get to the next level of reaching and training nationals for the work in Mexico City. The plan has never been for one American family to reach the Latin American countries but only to equip the souls saved here and send them out. These goals will allow for a continual presence here.
