broadcasting), and E9 (Satellite communication)to be held at Savoy Place on

Wednesday, 13 January 1993

PROGRAMME

With the rapid advances In Image compression techniques, the

possibility now exists of transmitting digital television over

medium and low power satellites for a wide range of

applications. This Colloquium will update the television

Industry on the latest digital satellite technology advances.

Satellite technology includes image compression techniques,

digital modulation methods and error coding, together with

space segment technology, up-links and electronic newsgatheringvehicles.
