Screens Shots of College Magazine Front Cover

This is the font I want to be used on the front cover of my College Magazine, I made a screen shot of it from www.dafont.com and I now want to add some colour to it.

I have now added some red to make it stand out as well as a slogan to make it appealing to the students at College. To change the letters red I used the paint bucket tool and clicked on the letter I wanted to change.

I then pasted in the picture I edited in a previous blog post.

By using the type tool I could add a main title in a large font size, I chose the colour black and Book Antigua font as it goes with the font of the masthead and colour scheme of the magazine.

Next I added some white rectangles using the shape tool and changed the opacity to 70% in order for the image to come through a little bit it also made the other main article titles stand out by. I added the main article titles by using the text tool once again.

I then added another white rectangle with 80% which made it stand out from the front cover image. I pasted the City College Logo to show that the magazine was associated with CCN. I also used the tool with large and small fonts for the banner to show what posters were inside the College magazine.

To get this little box with text in next to the banner, I once again went on shapes and it was in “other”. After I chose the size of this box I added a layer of text of it and then merged the two layers together.

Lastly I added (pasted) an image of a barcode to the top right corner because all magazines have a barcode when they are put into stores and that was the final touch to finish off the front cover of my College Magazine.
