Welcome
Climate change is one of thegreatest challenges of the 21stcentury.
Studies demonstrate anoverwhelming consensus amongstscien sts that climate change is theresult of human ac vity. However, whilst the responsibility for
environmental change rests withindustrialised na ons, the e ects willbe felt most by the poor.
Any change in the worlds climate willhave an adverse e ect on weathersystems; this will con nue to haverepercussions on the land and thepeople that rely on it.
There is not much me.
But the good news is theres lots we
can do about it.
This is an enormous challenge
Virtually every aspect of modern lifecontributes greenhouse gases to theatmosphere. The fuel we use to powerour homes, o ces and vehicles and toproduce the food and products weconsume, all contribute to the problem.
We need to clean up our energysystems and reduce the amount weconsume.
The debate about on how to tackleclimate change has always been erce, with many alterna ve solu onssuggested, businesses o en ndthemselves overwhelmed by the scaleof the challenge and unaware of howto tackle it.
Climate Plus exists to help businessesengage in the ght against climatechange, we work to help them reduceenergy consump on, we help themo set their remaining emissions andwe connect businesses with realpeople and real solu ons in thedeveloping world.
Operated by ChildreachInterna onal, an award-winning charityfocused on improving the lives of children and communi es in some of the worlds most sensi veenvironments, we are uniquelyquali ed to address the issues faced bythe developing world by tacklingclimate change
This is why we createdClimate Plus

Climate Plus specialises in reducing theemissions of greenhouse gasesby inves ng in innova ve,community based carbon reduc onprojects around the world.
We iden fy original projectopportuni es in regions wherefuel-intensive, expensive andsome mes harmful u li es andmachinery are most prevalent.Replacing these high carbon emi ngtechnologies with low carbonalterna ves reduces the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere. Theadvantage of this approach is that aswell as reducing emissions, it improvesthe quality of life for the communityconcerned.
When you make a dona on, we re reo sets from our projects. When wepurchase carbon o sets or support acarbon reduc on project we gain theright to the emission reduc ons.
Many groups buy these rights and thenuse them to pollute or sell them. Webuy the carbon reduc ons and re rethem, meaning that they are taken outof circula on forever.
