What might we say to our soul on this Easter Sun-day?

Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Satur-day and Easter Sunday. What’s the significance of these days? O my soul, what is the significance of these days?

Why, as he rode triumphant into Jerusalem on a lowly donkey, did the King of kings accept the crowds’ cheers even when He knew they would soon turn to jeers in con-demning Him (Palm Sunday)?

Why at the Last Supper did the Master freely chose to become the slave as he stooped down to wash His disci-ples’ feet and then gave them His very Body and Blood for food (Holy Thursday)? Why did Jesus come to bring us freedom by being bound and slapped and taken away as a criminal? Why did He allow himself to be scoured, crowned with thorns, made to carry and die on the awful cross between two thieves’ (Good Friday)? Why the eerie silence, the absence of the Life of the world when the Lord of life slept in death (Holy Satur-day)? Why did He who called himself the life triumph over death in his resurrection (Easter Sunday)?

LOVE: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. John 3:16 God is real. God is alive. God cares. God loves you & me in a personal way!
