My heart stirs with the potential we have in each of our days to make our days count. As I was thinking about time, I was reminded that it is the great equalizer in our lives-a resource that we must spend every bit of every day. What will we do with His time? If we were talking about our finances, experts like Dave Ramsey would encourage us to make a budget, to plan for every dollar and how it will be used. It takes intentionality to make a budget and discipline to keep it, but it keeps the important things in our mind and helps to plan and make our money go to the right things. It is a bit harder to do that with our time, but what if we were willing to commit to a foundation? We would build on that and begin with looking at our time. As we were meeting and doing some long-range planning as a Ministry Staff toward the end of the year, the number five was something that kept coming up. Statistics say that if five people are connected to the life of a student, that when they go to college, they remain connected to the faith. What if we were intentional about that for every student? We thought, what if every homebound or sick person had five people connecting with them in community from our church? What if every guest had meaningful interaction with five people who connected with them on their visit? What if five people were in a D-Group gathering in an intentional relationship around the Word? The impact this would make would be significant. The answer to seeing all these things take place is intentionality, with shared vision and commitment, of us all. What if we committed to a vision of 5 this year? It all starts with a foundation of a 5% Life. Five percent is going to seem small, but 5% of your life is a foundation that we believe will naturally cause the rest of your time to count. Pastor Jason

Church Family, I am so excited about this New Year kicking off in our Cowee Family.
