BE IT RESOLVED by the Church Conference of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Orlando (“the Church”) that the Church has reviewed the analysis of the needs of the church and community, the projections of membership and attendance, and the program of ministry as prepared and presented by the study committee; and based upon these reports does authorize the proposed community transformation project which has a goal of assisting 100 families out of poverty by 2017 as well as campus renovations which include new construction plus renovation of existing buildings and technology upgrades.

This Resolution further authorizes the repurposing of approximately $2,000,000 remaining from the BodyBuilding campaign to be used as deemed necessary by the Board of Trustees to accomplish the goals of the community transformation project and/or campus building/renovation project.

This Resolution also authorizes the creation of a Building Committee which is a sub-committee of the Board of Trustees and a Capital Campaign Committee which is a sub-committee of the Church Council. The Building Committee will continue the research of what building construction and/or modifications would best meet the needs and choices of the congregation. The Capital Campaign Committee would analyze resources that can be used for the selected projects and develop the means to secure those needed resources.
