Having it all is not about striving for perfection, or about living our lives according to someone else’s standards

or expectations (we’ve done that for far too long).

It’s not about working ourselves to a state of exhaustion, spreading ourselves too thin, or trading inner peace and

contentment for outer trinkets of success.

Been there. Done that too.

Having it all simply means having access to all of yourself, in any moment you choose it, and in every

aspect of life that is important to you.

Go here to learn exactly how you too, can “Have it All”’

c: I would like to ask you how do you define having your all in your life?

Paul Scheele: Early on establishing my work in the field of human potential development, I made a deal with the universe, I said I would be here and be fully present and I will

do this work that I am asked to do as long as I can continue to learn, grow, and have fun in my life. So having it all means I get to learn, I get to grow and I get to have fun in my life and they don’t have to worry for anything that might feel like a deficit in my life of any kind. But I could really be able to show up honest, present, authentic and really do the best that I can at any moment in time and really listen to my own full potential. The nice thing is that the universe accepted. Just get ready because I’m going to call on you from time to time. When you talk about that you have made an important point because I believe a lot of people need to be convinced that there is sufficient say that we come into the world utterly helpless and we are dependent on others to be able to provide for our needs. Psychologically and emotionally we have to build an ego to protect us from not having enough but those programs that get established early on continue into many people’s lives well into their later years, that I am not safe enough or I am not loved enough or I am and insufficient and somewhat. As long as our mental orientation is stored in insufficiency we really don’t have it all. There isn’t enough in the world to fulfill that level of emptiness so if we knew that we couldn’t fail and knew that we were blessed and here to bring our gifts and talents to the world we know we are sufficient, there is no lack, we come into the world not so empty, the world isn’t here to fill us up. We are here to bring the world more fullness and be able to connect and eliminate suffering and be present with whatever we do. What’s interesting in the early stages of human development work many people need to prove that they are sufficient. Once you’ve got the good job and the good relationship and got the car that meets your needs once you’ve got the income that you set your mind to, once you’ve done all that, then what? You see the question is what would you do in the world, what value would you bring into the world to serve humanity and the planet, all living species, what would you do if you knew you could not fail? So coming from that place of sufficiency you were pretty loaded with it all that’s the interesting thing about your question. So once we practice that it’s okay the question is now what will you choose to create? Now that you know you have it all what would you choose to

create? So my invitation of the world is to liberate their genius that’s within you that came into the world with you that is here to be expressed in the world and beyond that world.

c: What’s the core belief that you hold to be true either about yourself or the universe for you to really experience

your life where you are really having it all?

Paul Scheele: The first principle that I would say is that there is infinite abundance. There is an abundance of energy and abundance of love and abundance of all

the material things necessary for us to thrive and give our gifts in the world so first of all infinite abundance. Second it’s that we all come into the world with an absolute purpose to contribute to the world. And so this idea that we are born into the world as an empty vessel waiting to be filled up by the intelligence and wisdom above is that we actually are abundantly intelligent and have infinite wisdom and are complete access and is completely available to us at any moment in time. Like Socrates said it’s to draw forth from the individual not to stuff into. Draw forth from the education really in the world is to bring forth what we are here to give. One thing in the core message I really like to send into the world is the purpose of education, is the liberation of human genius. A lot of people immediately stiff arm that, no know I am no genius as if the genius is an individual but it’s not the genius is within you that is here to be expressed it is spiritual gift and a spiritual presence that came into the world with you. So it’s in the expression of that that we are really here and if you accept the idea you were born genius that’s the message. That every person was born genius and that’s the message of Buckminster Fuller who wrote we are all born genius 10,000 children is the world 9,999 will be de-genius by the time they reach the fifth grade in school they are de-geniused. The de-genius thing is what happens in society. If we are instead devoted to recognize to further facilitate the expression of genius within us there would be a quite a different story for example your story, the appearance of lack is what really troubles us not that there is lack of any kind but the appearance of lack we come to believe it more strongly than the abundance that is actually right with us at any moment. (When I went to school my honest belief was that I was there to demonstrate competence as opposed to demonstrating curiosity and wonder and how and exploration and tools to think this and historical perspective to see more deeply into life as it presents itself. That wasn’t what I was taught it was name, state, place and what’s the formula for this. It’s all about demonstrating competence is what I thought

but now as a doctor in leadership and change my intention is to help educators shift the way we think about learning in the world.)

c: So when you’re in that state, in that present moment and you really feel like you do have it all, can you just describe

what it is of that essence of how you feel?

Paul Scheele: Yes, and learning neurolinguistic programming which is the study of how the human mind and brain work one of the things that we talk about is called the

physiology of excellence. So if you think of any time in your life where you did anything that was spectacularly well done and what was the experience and your face and shoulders and your breathing and in your body, what was that experience like and we can label that an anchor that we call a physiology of excellence I remember it quite explicitly. For me it was during my pilots training where I was in my final exam and I landed the plane exactly right but it was as if everything isn’t perfect equipoise there is this absolute balance and complete lack of tension in my body and I just had this big beaming smile on my face, my breath is deepening and I know I’m fully present at that moment there is no tension in me, no matter how intense the situation may be. You can imagine here you have an FAA examiner and he asked where are you going to put your wheels of your airplane on that runway. And I said 3 feet in front of that third line and I nailed it. I remember he said I hated showoffs. We both burst into laughter that this idea that everything actually really is okay right now. Which is an interesting thing, do I have to do my life in order to be okay? Now it’s exactly the opposite when you recognize right now, okay then all of your doing is easier and more connected and it’s in a better flow. There was a researcher out of the University of Chicago wrote books on the concept of psychology in flow, that’s really it to me. Everything is just in a perfect balance. If you can set far enough away from the earth like the astronauts did when they look back on the earth from the surface of the moon they see here is this perfect sphere balancing rotating turning and traveling through space. You don’t see the border surmises you don’t see starvation you see the perfection of life right there and if we can get out of our little mind into the bigger perspective we can recognize we are here for each other, we are here to make a difference, and to create a benevolence human presence on the planet will that’s really something to step up to. I think about that quite often if I’m at a restaurant or at a coffee shop is there anything else you’d like today sir? I say peace. World peace. And they

always get a giggle is there anything else that you would like? Yes world peace and you can see it’s within the human family capacity to recognize the opportunity that we can be here for each other. For me that’s a real demonstration of excellence of humanity. (I think of the word awe-full it sounds like our full awful and when you say I am full of awe and filled with wonder and the magnificence of how things are and when something is awful we think it’s really bad but the truth is if we are full of awe and curiosity and wonder what the world we are also filled with that spectacular recognition that there is no way to fathom how perfect this universe is. If we can recognize that everything is okay right now and now we can devote ourselves to doing our work in the world to help bring that about in the human experience is well.)

c: What is one tip so others can feel that essence in their lives?

Paul Scheele: The most important tip that I feel is to take a few moments during the day when you just wake up in the morning and just before you drop off to sleep

at night to take a moment to drop into that place where everything is okay right now. Because whatever is going on in your life you can see that there is something not quite right about it, there is something yet to do or that you could, could turn yourself what like you may have failed in the past we may be projecting a lack into the future but if you stop where you are right now and ask yourself right now am I okay? You’re going to recognize that’s the case. That you could bring and I thought that you might not be okay five minutes from now if you didn’t have that thought you just drop into this present moment right now, would you recognize right now that you are okay and it’s from that place that place of knowing that you do have it all that in this present moment you have access to all of your resources as a mature human being in this level. Not in the past not in the future but in this moment right now. My invitation is to take a few moments during the day to drop into that recognition of how full you really are and take peace and joy in that and take recognition that right now you do have it all to do what you need to do to accomplish and bring into the world.
